In centre of Mountshannon. Few bars and a cafe close by, and 2 minutes walk down to a pier for a swim in Lough Derg. Apartment was nice and spacious and Paul and Audrey were quick to respond to any queries. Highly recommended!

The cottage is in a beautiful location within view of Lough Derg. A short stroll down the lane brings you to the edge of the lake with a view of Holy Island. Mountshannon village is just a mile or so away which has shops, bars and a lovely restaurant with a take-away service. From Mountshannon harbour, we took a boat trip to Holy Island where we were able to tour the ancient site with its famous round tower and monastic buildings dating from the time of Brian Boru (1000AD). The island is very well maintained for access and a stunningly beautiful location, as is the area generally.

The cottage was quirky and cosy, warm, comfy bed, all more than adequate for what we needed, super friendly family, very welcoming and dog mad. Lovely to have bread, cheese, jam, milk etc stocked on arrival. We’ll be back!

It was stunning with beautiful landscape and a grazing field right outside the window. The bathrooms are modern and the beds were comfortable. There was plenty of parking.

We were looking for an authentic Ireland cottage where it was quiet and homey and this place exceeded everything we wanted! The host's were amazingly sweet and the neighbors were so friendly. We would definitely book here again when we come back!

We could not have been happier with our stay at Lakeview Farm! The views were breathtaking from each window. Catherine was the ideal host ensuring that we were enjoying our stay and the brown bread was a lovely surprise. The furnishings were a perfect mix of modern and traditional, so you felt like you were staying at a friends home. We can hardly wait to plan our next visit to Ireland and staying at Lakeview Farm!

The Waterside Cottages was comfortable and clean. The beds comfy. The rooms very spacious. Everything we needed. And a stone's throw from beautiful Lough Derg. Also, our host Geraldine was prompt with her responses and very pleasant to deal with.

Very very cosy and super clean, the place is decorated very tastefully and feels like home. The location is very handy, just 3 minutes by car from a huge beautiful lake. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. You can see mountains through windows and plenty of space outside to let children play. A perfect place for families. The owner is very helpful and easy to deal with. Definitely going back!

We had a family wedding in the Ashely Park Hotel in Nenagh, the house was ideal as it is very close to the Ashley Park Hotel (less than a 10 min drive) and there was 8 of us so was a great price and location. The local bus link passes by the house also. Helen and Margaret were amazing and made us feel so welcome and was always a text or phone call away. The peace and quiet looking out on Lough Derg was a bonus.
