Self-Catering Accommodations in Castiglione dʼOrcia

Thank you to our hosts who show great care and pride for their farmstay! The views from the house are beautiful and not done justice in the photos. The house sits on a hilltop which gives you a great view of the mountains and the fields and fields of golden wheat. We loved how quiet and peaceful it was-it almost felt like you had to whisper everywhere you went. Everything was picturesque. We swam in the pool every day. There are at least a dozen restaurants within a 20 minute drive (some are even closer). The breakfast was delicious. Other than the array of Italian cakes, breads, fruits, cheese and meats, they cooked us eggs and made us coffee! We looked forward to it in the mornings. The room were comfortable and clean. We went in late June and temperature was nice in and out of the rooms-Just beware of bugs since it is summer time. The hosts were nice enough to let us use their washer and dryer machine. Thank you!

Amazing! It's so beautiful, so peaceful, the pool, the green fields, the authentic architecture, the cool rooms with blinds and aircons, it is really outstanding value. One of the best we've been to in southern Europe. It's situated in the heart of Tuscany, the best spot if you are on photo-trip like we were. We chose this spot because it is situated closely to the most famous spots and it did not disappoint. I will not forget this place. Eating a melon at the pool in the middle of a summer night, the friendly host, the kitchen were we cooked some wonderful food with a good wine. We had a blast.

It was a great decision to choose this accommodation. The town is small and you can really feel the Italian atmosphere, and the accommodation connected to the castle walls really felt like staying in an old house. The view from the balcony was especially beautiful. The host's kindness made the trip even more comfortable. If you are looking for a place that values ​​cleanliness and comfort, I highly recommend this place. It took a while to find the house at the entrance, but it was not difficult. The wifi worked great. This is an accommodation I would like to visit again.

The location, on the via francigena. So beautiful setting, but no food nearby and had to carry all up, a car is easyer 😉 not complaining just beware if you to the via francigena. Host is wonderful despite it being easter. Not met her but constantly in touch via WhatsApp. And the place was warm when I arrived, thank you soo much!

Beautiful property with unbelievable views. We enjoyed three nights in this quiet and comfy apartment. You definitely need a car to stay here and make sure to follow the directions they send, don’t follow Google Maps! Outstanding communication from our hosts with quick responses and helpful dinner recommendations. We loved having this as our base to explore the area and come back and share wine while looking at the views. Pool was nice too! Really appreciate being able to use the laundry.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish we could have spent more than one night. The owner, Roberto, answered all my questions in a timely fashion prior to our arrival. Our apartment was perfect. The farm is perfectly situated. You can enjoy sunrise on one side of the property and sunset on the other side. Roberto produces organic wine and olive oil. He gave us a tour of the vineyard and the wine production area. Afterwards, we enjoyed a wine tasting and charcuterie board while sitting in a beautiful garden and enjoying the Tuscan scenery. It doesn’t get any better than that!

The house was clean and cozy, tucked away in a charming, authentic village. The hosts were friendly and attentive — they recommended visiting Terme di San Filippo, which we loved, and a nearby trattoria. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen, though small, had everything we needed to cook simple meals. We had a lovely stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a taste of Tuscany.
