Even though the photos may look very 90s, the house itself is very cleanly and stylishly decorated. It is very much out in the fields and you hear all the wildlife if you open the windows. The host was very friendly and allowed us to check in later than listed for which we were very thankful.

The owner has obviously tried to make the accommodation comfortable and functional for guests. Lots of extra finishing touches. There are cooking oils, sauces and seasonings to cook with, as well as tea and coffee. The shampoo and conditioner isn’t a super cheap brand which is great. I loved being able to stay near the train station and watching all the people come home at night from the upstairs bedroom window, it gets so busy, it was a comforting feeling.

Spacious! We had plenty of space for privacy and for coming together. We could easily walk into town and explore the old parts and shrines and shop for groceries. Cami brought us authentic Japanese style breakfast each morning that were unique and delicious. She also sent information ahead of time so we could navigate by train and bus to Akechi and then she picked us up at the bus stop with a warm welcoming smile. Restaurant across the street was recommended and it did not disappoint. There’s traffic during the day but at night it was super quiet. If I ever come back to the area I would stay here again. Thanks again!!

The hosts were SO KIND, they really made this stay special. The house is a great representation of a classic Japanese home. It is perfect for children — the best place I’ve ever stayed for kids. Comfortable beds, and tons of space to spread out in the house. Absolutely recommend!
