Whole house was very spacious and welcoming, nice place for weary travelers to stay at after a long day. Host was very nice and left us welcome snacks at the table.

The hosts were super friendly, the food was delicious and the experience of staying in a traditional ryokan was incredible. The bonus of a private tour to the bamboo forest was unexpected and greatly appreciated!

My stay in Kyoto had a really relaxed, hostel-style vibe that made it easy to settle in. The place had a social, welcoming atmosphere—simple, clean, and perfect if you’re just looking for a comfortable base while exploring the city. One thing that stood out was how helpful the staff were. There was a lady there who went out of her way to help me when I needed directions. Instead of just explaining, she took the time to guide me and made sure I understood everything clearly. That kind of genuine kindness made a big difference in my experience. Overall, it felt less like just a place to sleep and more like a friendly environment where people actually care. Great option if you want something affordable, social, and welcoming in Kyoto.

It was very comfortable and spacious with all necessary for cocking and washing your clothes. The host was very very kind with us and the place has bicycles for its guests, which helps you to know around the zone. Sincerely, the best place in Kyoto! In addition, the host helps you with very great recommendations!

location is good and convenient . opposite a lot of shops and restaurant, very easy to get food and Grocery goods. For seld drive, easy to get parking area .

For the price and Japan standards, our apartment was surprisingly spacious! A cozy, comfortable place with plenty of room to move around. We really appreciated having a separate shower and toilet, plus our own washing machine and small kitchen — super convenient for a longer stay. There’s also a designated smoking area right next to the hotel, a supermarket with all the basic items just across the street, a convenience store by the train station only a minute away, and a drugstore about two minutes’ walk that has everything from food and drinks to cosmetics and daily essentials. The owner was very kind and welcoming — greeted us with a big smile and even congratulated us on successfully deciphering the code to the safe to get our key 🤣 Overall, a great stay and amazing value for the location! Spacious house with lovely inner garden. Comfortable beds and pillows enough for a big family. Quiet neighborhood, but close to train station and quick access to Kyoto station and other sightseeing spots like Nijo Castle and Kyoto Railway museum. Modern bathroom with large bath, washing machine and dryer. All necessary household appliances. It could be great to have more plates and at least one pot. But in general we enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend this place to a big family with children.

Thank you for the welcoming and comfortable stay! The place had everything I needed and was looking for. The amenities were spot on and I especially love how quickly my clothes dried in the dryer room (also doubles as the shower). This place by far had my most favorite and most comfortable bed for rest and sleep in all of my Japan stays to date. I highly recommend this accomodation for anyone looking to spend a holiday in Arashiyama. You feel right at home when staying here. I enjoyed how close this location was to the Arashiyama train station, convenience stores, and picturesque prime locations in town. You can walk to so many different spots in Arashiyama very easily. One big plus is that it is VERY quiet in the surrounding areas that footsteps are louder than you think when you hear people outside walking on the street. Waking up from a nap and the morning from this spot gave some nice views of the mountain when there was no rain.
