Unique concept. Well designed villa surrounded by lush forest. Very relaxing. Yet still close to restaurants. And a good place for day trips in the cultural triangle. Very kind and pro active staff. Very good breakfast!

Awesome spot with the most welcoming hosts. Great view of both of the rocks, especially Lion’s Rock. Plenty of wildlife - peacocks, lizards, birds etc. The host gave us a tour of the garden and breakfast included fresh mango, papaya and bananas from his garden. Couldn’t recommend more :)

The family that runs the place is super nice and hospitable! The place is in a quiet area and has a calming atmosphere. Therapies are also good.

Had an amazing time at this lovely place. The room was nice, clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely delicious—fresh and full of local flavors. The house lady was so kind and welcoming, made us feel right at home. Plus, the location is perfect with Sigiriya Rock just a few minutes away. Highly recommend!

Such a cute hut and a very comfortable stay. There is a large garden and very pretty surrounds. The hosts were very welcoming and showed me some of the garden and made a delicious Sri Lankan dinner. Very good stay, would stay again.

We stayed in this beautiful house for 3 days. Mr Asanka is a very thoughtful host. He arranged our pick up from the train station and welcomed us with wet cold towel and welcome drinks. The house was very clean and had a beautiful garden. There is a small river passing by, I read my book by the river, so relaxing! We had the breakfast near this river. The breakfast was excellent with a combination of Sri Lankan and continental breakfast. Lots of fresh fruit…the best breakfast I had in Sri Lanka. One feature of this place is that you can use the kitchen. The room was very nice with a new AC and kettle. Hot water was always available. The room had a beautiful balcony. One note about Habarana: Minneriya national park is here and it is absolutely beautiful. We liked it much more than Yala as we were able to see more than 100 elephants in 2 hours.

Rio Hotel is a great place to stay for travelers exploring Habarana, Sigiriya, and Dambulla. The location is very convenient, especially being close to the main road and bus route, making transportation easy. Despite its accessibility, the surroundings are peaceful and pleasant. The hotel has a beautifully maintained garden that adds a relaxing atmosphere to the property. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and perfect for resting after a long day of sightseeing. We found it very easy to travel to nearby attractions such as Sigiriya Rock and Dambulla from here. Overall, a convenient and relaxing place to stay with a lovely environment.

The villa is just amazing Comfy beds, clean bathroom and stunning views Our kids had their own space upstairs and they loved it The swimming pool is cool and refreshing The breakfast was delicious. And we also ate lunch and dinner. Sri lankan food very well prepared and once again delicious The scenery is impressive with many birds and in the background lions rock and pidurangala The careleapers helped us with arranging taxis and tours There is no one around. Very quiet and peacefull

Our host was very informative and eager to make sure we had a great stay. The room was spacious. The food was delicious and they accommodated some very specific food intolerances. Fun birds and animals nearby.
