Everything!!!! Absolutely wonderful all around experience staying at Bundala Ruhunumaya Green Villa. The tranquil, spacious, clean, and comfortable accommodations surpassed expectations. My friend and I instantly fell in love with the family. They are very knowledgeable about the area and made arrangements for Safaris, drivers, and a temple visit. The authentic Sri Lankan meals were incredibly delicious and stood out as the best food we’ve eaten in Sri Lanka. My friend and I highly recommend staying at this villa. It was an unforgettable wonderful experience. We definitely hope to return here on our next visit to Sri Lanka.

Middle and inside the city of Hambantota, easy access

The venue is beautiful, very special place with lots of trees and in a peaceful zone of the city. The owner is very friendly & knowledgeable about safari trails & organized for me an amazing safari experience for a great price. Lunch was one of the best I had in my trip to Sri Lanka. Highly recommended.

Wow this is not just a place to sleep but an entire experience! It is rare to come across such selfless kindness but that is what Asha and her husband provide! The home itself is beautiful and set amongst nature where you can see deer and wild peacocks roam and the bats fly at night. The room is spotless with a cute balcony and very comfortable bed. They organized the Yala safari tour for me. The local area is also beautiful so I’d recommend staying an extra few days if you can! They picked me up and dropped me off at my bus stop and as a female solo traveler I was very grateful for this. They provided me with refreshments and meals - all delicious by the way! Asha made me a top as she is a very talented seamstress. They even took me out to show me Vesak festival. I can’t explain how welcoming and friendly they are. By the end of my stay here I consider them friends! Very special people and if you have the chance to stay here then you are lucky!

This quiet little cottage was a perfect place to base ourselves for a few days while we explored Yala, Lunugamvehera, Udawalawe, and Ella. Our hosts, Gayan and his family, went above and beyond to ensure we had a happy and comfortable visit, and we were honored to be their first guests through Booking.com. Their kindnesses included such touches as providing us with limes from their own tree and preparing us a special breakfast (including delicious milk rice) on our first day. They also showed us around town and even helped my friend find a shop that had some particular things she was looking for. The property itself is cozy and beautiful. If you sleep in the front room (the one with the king bed and small bed), you can fall asleep to the sounds of the distant sea even with the windows closed. If you prefer a more silent night, you will find that in the back room (the one with the loft bed). The front room opens to the outdoor living space you see in the photos. It is a beautiful place to sit with your morning coffee or to relax in the afternoon. The back room and the kitchen open to the outdoors, and there is a paved walkway connecting the back room, the kitchen, and the outdoor living space. There are friendly dogs who will hang out with you on the property, but they do not enter the porch/living area or the rooms. They are sweet, calm, pleasant company. There's a good restaurant next door, which is convenient for dinner. You could cook in the well-prepared kitchen, but we did not do this during our stay. We also did not walk to town, although you probably could. The hosts are planning to add a couple more rooms to the property over time, but for now, it's just this one perfect little cottage. Much as the name suggests, Garnet Yala Beach truly is a gem. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place near the parks who wants a peaceful beachy spot hosted by a lovely family.

Had a great vacation at a calm and peaceful environment, infront of a water channel of Debarawewa lake. Couldn't imagine that much of beauty, few meters away from the Debarawewa town. Owner and his wife are more friendly and helpful. Reasonable price. Super clean rooms. Highly recommend

Lovely family, beautiful place surrounded by rice fields. There were some insects in the bathroom because they had a lot of rain recently but we suggested to the owner to add some mesh/netting outside the bathroom windows to try to prevent bugs from coming in and he seemed receptive of the suggestion. Also a mosquito net in the room would be great! We booked a half day Yala tour through them and it was nice they organized that for us and we enjoyed the safari. We didn’t eat at the accommodation but it was an option for them to cook dinner since the location is a bit secluded. Room was comfy but those couple of adjustments would make it even better! We would still recommend staying here if you want some peace and quiet! Just note there was no WiFi but our Sri Lankan eSIM worked well there.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Villa Tanderra in Sri Lanka, which was an amazing experience. We were a party of 6 all female friends. From the moment we stepped foot onto the property, we were captivated by the sheer beauty and tranquility that surrounded us. The rooms were spacious, bright, and well maintained. Each bedroom was comfortable, featuring plush beds, high-quality linens, and 3 had breathtaking views of the ocean. The en-suite bathrooms were fitted with luxurious fixtures, rain showers, and quality products. One of the highlights of this villa was its indoor / outdoor living spaces. The expansive dining table was perfect for long lunches. It overlooked the pool at one side and the garden on the other. Really felt that it was inside outside living. The staff at the villa were exceptional in every way. They were warm, welcoming, and always went above and beyond to ensure that every need was met. From the moment we arrived, we received a personalized service that left a lasting impression. The private chef, Santha, prepared delectable meals, showcasing the finest flavors of Sri Lankan cuisine, and the attentive housekeeping staff Sampath and Darshana ensured that the villa was always in pristine condition. In conclusion, our stay at this amazing villa in Sri Lanka was nothing short of magical. It exceeded all our expectations in terms of luxury, beauty, and hospitality. If you're looking for a truly extraordinary experience amidst a tropical paradise, I wholeheartedly recommend this villa. It's a haven of tranquility and indulgence, and a place that will leave you with memories to cherish for a lifetime.

The place was super clean and the caretaker was so helpful and nice. We stayed there for two nights and it was comfortable and simply amazing.
