Self-Catering Accommodations in Talalla South

Nisha, the caretaker, is beyond fantastic. She is so thoughtful and kind. She helped me find (through her daughter) a taxi to a national park and after I told her (genuinely!!) that the mango she had given me was the best of my life, she brought me a bag the next morning with two off her tree from home. Her cooking is excellent. The property is clean and quiet.

The beds were comfortable and nice to have your own little cabin. Location was great, quiet but close to city center.

Our hosts were so kind and welcoming, we felt right at home here. It was hard for us to leave! The room had all the facilities to cook our own food, we enjoyed going to the local grocery store instead of going to the expensive restaurants down by the beach.

A very kind owner and nice natural environment. Monkeys, peacocks, and monitor lizards walk freely around. Very close to the beach. Good for the value.

We recently had the most wonderful stay at HEY LALA! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The space was not just cozy and impeccably clean but radiated a warmth that made our experience truly unforgettable. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. They welcomed us like family, always attentive to our needs while giving us the privacy to relax. We had the chance to connect with them and were touched by their kindness, generosity, and the care they put into every detail of the accommodation. The location was perfect for us—peaceful yet close enough to explore Talalla beach Waking up to the serene views of their garden and enjoying the thoughtful touches throughout the property made every day a delight. This wasn’t just a place to stay; it was an experience filled with beautiful memories. We can’t recommend Lala enough and her cooking skills. We had the greatest food in Sri Lanka while we stayed there. Thank you for making us feel like part of the family!

This is a very unique place, as mentioned by other reviews. It has two bedrooms, the second one, with two beds, has AC, which goes for some extra money, but reasonably. However the house never gets really hot and we didn't even use fans at night time, as the sea breeze from the window was just enough. The house is very well maintained and everything works just right. Booking's pictures are very accurate. The owner is kind, helpful and always there if you need to, doing a great job to keep his guests safe and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely everything. Jamal is a great guy, and his place is absolutely incredible. It's not only clean, it's made with heart, attention to detail. The location is breathtaking.

Thank you for the wonderful time we spent at this villa!!! Here we felt complete peace, safety and seclusion with nature!!! Thank you to the wonderful host Sunil for the constant treats, various activities and always responding to our requests! At the villa, you can observe a variety of birds (we even built a bird feeder on our balcony and watched them directly from our bed). There is also a nearby jungle with animals, and I observed large squirrels and monkeys directly from the shower window while taking a shower. We exercised on the roof, DJed, flew a drone, and took photos right in the villa's courtyard! Every time we had lunch, we enjoyed the view of the rice fields and Sri Lankan agricultural culture!!We also periodically rented a car and tuk-tuk from the owner at a good price!
