We had an unforgettable 3-night stay in Cartagena, and one of the highlights was celebrating New Year’s Eve with our incredible host, Ofrey, and his lovely family. They welcomed us with open arms, making us feel right at home in a truly special way. Sharing in their warmth and joy made the experience even more memorable. We also appreciated the authenticity of the neighborhood, which gave us a real sense of local life. It was vibrant, safe, and full of character. The nearby food options were fantastic—we enjoyed everything from fresh local seafood to delicious street food, and every meal was an adventure in itself. The owners are amazing and really do they can to make you feel at home. This is a « locals » barrio so there are only a few little tiendas and really local restaurants. However within a short drive or very long walk there are a lot of activities and the beach. Very very close to the airport so if you have a flight out there next day it’s wonderful. Again wonderful hosts.

This is a very clean and calm space where you can relax and get a local feel – exactly what we were looking for. As a bonus, you are surrounded by lovely staff, Rosario and Marta, who are always there for you to help or provide advice. Cartagena can get very hot, so it was amazing to have A/C in the room.
