Being my first time in St.Moritz I looked for something close to the train station and to have a view. Hotel Soldanella has marked everything on my list and even more, they were receptive to my request regarding a room with a view. The room I had was amazing, the view of the lake and mountains in the morning and evening was more than I could hope. The staff was very professional and helpful in every way possible, from tips on what to visit in St.Moritz to directions if you wanted to go somewhere. Thank you

The hotel is impressive. It is a classy and glamorous place to stay. The views are very nice and you are a bit outside of the town which means it is really quite.

It is modest but well cared for. We like the practical approach of the hostel nice rooms and a great location. The shower rooms and toilets are on the floor but are always sufficient for all guests. The ski room is great and has a table for ski prepping if one needs to do it (like athletes). The breakfast is reach and tasty. It has to be paid extra for the hostel guests. The spa is reasonably good (also at extra cost). The staff are all super friendly and positive! It is always a pleasure.

Location and apartment utilities

It’s St. Moritz on New Year’s Day and you can’t stay anywhere for a reasonable price right? Wrong! For less than 700 CAD for two nights with breakfast that’s a bargain! You also get a pool, sauna and steam room, sun terrace, gym and cozy lounge rooms. My room had a patio too so that was fantastic. Owner/manager was caring and listening when conversing with guests. The lobby is something else. So spacious and comfy with a fire burning and the lady playing the piano in one area with reading material in another. Having three restaurants to eat at within the hotel makes meal planning so much simpler (and less expensive) than in the town. The weather was beautiful too, which just adds to the property’s charm and the whole aura of St. Moritz. 300 days of sun per year. It’s heaven on Earth.

The service and concierge team

The staff was very helpful and gave us good advice for the places to visit. The location is also excellent in front of the train station. The food in the hotel restaurant was very good.

The staff, food, and the beautiful scenery

The property seems brand new (I was told it was recently renovated). It smells like fresh pine wood which is very cosy. It’s decorated as an alpine chalet mixed with Scandinavian minimalism. Pictures truly don’t do justice. The suite was very spacious, had Smeg coffee machine that was prefilled with coffee beans. The kitchenette was closed (apparently you have to point at your booking that you want to use it), but I didn’t need it. Bathroom had heated floor, shower was extremely comfortable. Personal was going above and beyond to make you stay pleasant. Breakfast was exceptional, great atmosphere and selection of food. Great feature is a dinner buffet that offered really gourmet meat, fish or vegetarian options that would changed every day. À la carte is also available. Bed was very, very comfortable! Amazing spa with great personal (I was greeted by Anna who speaks a several languages and goes an extra mile to make your spa experience exceptional)! For hotel guests the use of the spa is free. There is a great connection by bus number 601 to the city center, the stop is located within hundred meters from the hotel, or it’s about 20 minute walk. Overall, this hotel is definitely 10/10, perhaps the best one I ever stayed! I hope to come back next year!
