⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 101% Recommended – A Hidden Gem in Yufu, Japan Our stay at Space Vessel was honestly one of the most memorable experiences we’ve ever had in Japan. We visited two months ago, and until now, I still feel like I left a piece of my heart there. The place itself is incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Waking up beside the beautiful mountains of Yufu felt unreal — quiet surroundings, fresh air, and stunning scenery that instantly makes you feel calm and refreshed. It’s the perfect escape if you want to disconnect from stress and simply enjoy nature and serenity. One of the highlights of our stay was enjoying the BBQ, sauna, and bonfire at the property. Everything felt so cozy and relaxing. Spending the evening having BBQ with the cold mountain air, then enjoying the sauna and sitting around the bonfire made the experience even more special and unforgettable. It truly felt like healing for the soul. What made our stay even more amazing was the owner, Jang. He is one of the kindest and most accommodating hosts we’ve ever met. From the moment we arrived, he welcomed us so warmly and made us feel at home right away. He truly went above and beyond for us during our entire stay. He even drove us to a car rental place about 30 minutes away, but unfortunately we couldn’t rent because I didn’t have an International Driving Permit (IDP). Instead of leaving us disappointed, Jang personally drove us around Beppu and Yufuin, toured us around the area, dropped us off, picked us up, and made sure every single request we had was taken care of. He genuinely wanted our trip to become meaningful and unforgettable — and it truly was. One of the sweetest gestures was when he even sent us to Hello Kitty Airport before our flight to Tokyo. That level of hospitality is something you rarely experience anymore. This place is not just accommodation — it’s an experience filled with warmth, kindness, peace, and beautiful memories.

I stayed at AMANEK Beppu YULA‑RE for 4 nights during my time in Beppu, and overall it was a very enjoyable experience. The biggest strength of this hotel is its strategic location. It is close to Beppu Station (train station) and the bus terminal, making it very easy to travel to various attractions. From here, I could conveniently visit Yufuin, Beppu Ropeway, Oita, Kyushu Wildlife Park, Takasakiyama Park, and many other destinations. The hotel is also surrounded by food options, so finding meals was never a problem. A Lawson convenience store is located very close to the hotel, making it easy to buy water or snacks at any time. The room I stayed in was quite spacious and featured tatami flooring, which added comfort and a pleasant Japanese atmosphere. Another nice touch was the free welcome drink, available all day until around 10 PM, which was very relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. The most memorable part of my stay was the hotel’s complimentary bath (onsen) facilities for guests. I used the onsen almost every night on the 14th floor, where I could enjoy a beautiful view of Beppu city while soaking in hot water. It was a truly relaxing and unforgettable experience. The hotel also has a rooftop swimming pool, although I did not get the chance to use it during my stay.
