Clean, safe, friendly and welcoming. They make an effort to understand their clients and are interested in your wellbeing.

The staff, facilities, food and drink were fantastic. The game drives were a lot of fun, and animals were visible right from the lux property.

We had the most wonderful stay only 30 mins from the gate to Kruger national park and surrounded by private reserves. We absolutely loved everything about this place. The lodge is tastefully decorated and the landscape is beautifully maintained. The staff were amazing, from the gatekeeper to the reception and restaurant teams, always eager to help and to make our stay as comfortable as possible. It was also a pleasure to meet the owner, Tommy, who was incredibly kind and helpful. He assisted us with planning private game drives and gave us great tips for our self-drive safari adventures. The breakfast box was extremely generous, very well packed and perfectly organised. It didn’t only include breakfast, but also more than enough food to enjoy a picnic lunch in Kruger. Overall, our stay exceeded all expectations, and we can only say thank you to everyone at Sunbird Oasis Lodge.

I want to thank the staff of Maroelani lodge. We stayed may 15-17 and it was a Amazing experiencie. The service, the atenttion, the rooms, the food and the game drives. We had a welcome drink that was so good & also all the wines and cocktails were excelent. It was my birthday and they made it extra special, one of the most wonderful ones. They even sang happy birthday to me with a cake and decorate my room. It was the best service, stay here. You won't regret it. Thank thank you for the incredible stay.

CJ has a unique gift for making you feel completely immersed in nature. One day he told us, “Appreciate the small things, and when you least expect it, the big things will appear.” That simple advice perfectly captured our experience. He taught us to slow down, observe, and enjoy every detail of the bush, making every drive exciting and meaningful. We were also fortunate to spend time with Surprise, whose knowledge, experience, and instincts led us to incredible close encounters with the Big Five. His passion for wildlife and ability to read the bush made every safari unforgettable. What truly sets Oase apart are the unexpected moments. Gourmet picnics by the river, cooking classes, fishing experiences, breathtaking sunsets from a terrace high above the property, and countless thoughtful surprises along the way. Just when you think the experience cannot get any better, it somehow does. David and his wife are exceptional hosts. They have created something very special—an experience that feels luxurious yet personal, elegant yet warm. Their passion is reflected in every aspect of the lodge and in the incredible team they have built around them.
