When we arrived, we were greeted warmly. After going up a short flight of stairs, the receptionist told us to drive around the back of the hotel where we could access an elevator. It was wonderful. Breakfast was very nice. They also had a lot of covered outdoor balconies.

Set on the Praia a Mare seafront, the family-run Hotel Garden has its own private beach and is a short walk from the town’s center and nightlife.

Overnight stop before heading to Sorrento. Comfortable, close to restaurants, and walking distance to the train station. Scalea seemed to be an authentic Italian town and would love to spend more time there. I definitely would stay at Hotel Genova
