The location was the perfect spot to rest after starting the hike from the Naxi Family Guesthouse. The view is amazing, a real highlight , we had a great little balcony to sit and enjoy. The room was clean and spacious, way better than other huts we’ve been in during hikes in Europe. The facilities are good, there is a good restaurant with lots of meal options for breakfast and dinner, and the tigerbucks coffee is a beautiful (albeit expensive) place to sit and enjoy the view. There are plenty of signs during to hike to the halfway so we didn’t have any problem finding it.

Beautiful courtyard, adorable dog. The room was clean and warm. Everyone at the guest house was incredibly friendly, especially the "Teacher" was well traveled and interesting to chat with. He was also knowledgeable about the Tiger Leaping Gorge and arranged a carpool to drop me off at the trail head, deliver my luggage to the end point, then bring me to Lijiang train station on day 2. I was also added to a WeChat group with the driver and the guesthouse staff, and since I don't speak Chinese, it was really helpful to have them jump in when I needed something.

The cleanliness of the room and location was perfect. The staff (ie Jing Jing) went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They also helped organize our day trips. The A/C is strong relative to most places we have stayed at in China.

The proprietors were wonderful. Their hospitality was exceptional. They do all they can to accommodate their guests. They served us tea and snacks, visited with us ( even through Google translate), and walked us to restaurants they recommended to make sure we got good food and drinks and we're happy. Though not fancy, it is so special and our favorite . The location is perfect too.

I loved my stay at The Ripplewood Sanctum. The location was great because it was in the old town but only a few minutes from the main road for when you need to get picked up for day tours. The manager was very nice and spoke great English. She was able to help me with finding tours and tea. The Hotel is infront of Three Wells and next to Mufu Mansion. The rooms were so modern and comfortable while still keeping traditional style. It was a smart room but you need to speak English to fully use it. Really enjoyed my stay here. Was affordable with great amenities. Will definitely come back!
