The location was wonderful! We were looking for a quiet rural retreat in beautiful surroundings and this place delivered in spades! There is a great view over the valley below. But the star of the show was the circus of birds, and we had a front row seat. I'm not particularly a birder, but they were utterly captivating, especially the red tail kites that are so impressive. The cottage is not overly spacious but was a very comfortable accommodation for the two of us. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding villages and various National Trust properties within easy driving distance. Our hosts were super friendly and helpful. Even though the cottage is rather modest (and it doesn't pretend to be otherwise), we would return in a heartbeat.

The host Jason left us some treats which was kind of him. The whole place is so tastefully decorated really nice vintage pieces. Despite the fact that the property is right in the middle of an estate once you got in you completely forgot where you were. There is a nice working area for those looking for a quiet place to get some work done. And a pretty little garden outside Jason went over and beyond getting us to accommodate one extra person and there is loads of bedding. Really close walking access to bicester town and bicester village
