We slept well in the beds and the air-conditioning was working well. Well situated to the Geisha-district - perfect!!!

We felt very spoilt living in this house. It was clean, had great amenities and was well located. We especially love the heated floors and the bidets. The beds were comfortable and the WiFi was fast and reliable.

This is my favorite place in all the hotels that we stayed at in Japan. It is a large house with tatami mat area/traditional Japanese living room with an outside patio overlooking the Kamo river. It was such a pleasant stay that it was hard to leave the house even to sightsee. The house and the view it offers was already a very nice experience. The staff are very kind and pleasant and they were responsive to our questions.

Excellent location, with a great view over the river towards the old city. Walking distance to everything you need - old city, great restaurants, bars & main shopping precinct. The apartment is meticulously cared for by the apartment owner/host, who met us on arrival and took great care and time to explain the apartment facilities, overview of surrounding attractions and provided a lesson in how to play the Koto (traditional Japanese string instrument) that is in the apartment. Host actively sought to provide assistance where possible - on our day of check-out she organised taxis for us to get to the train station, including meeting us and waiting with us until they arrived. The apartment is one where you want to spend time in and enjoy, even though you have a great city to explore.
