It is a cosy place, with a great view, near the river. The food was good, the sauna is great and it's close to the Gosausee and Hallstat. Highly recommended.

The host is very friendly, he contacted me in advance to make sure I have all the information. I easily collected the keys from the hotel reception and I had all the support I needed. The studio is a little bit small for 4 people, but it was described correctly so I knew what to expect. We got a very good stay for the price we payed so it was a great deal for us. Gosau is a very nice village, easy to get to great local attractions (lakes, hiking areas, cycling routes, Halstad town, etc) Overall we had a great stay here and the host made us feel welcome!

We were very pleased with our experience at this family hotel. The hotel and rooms were very clean, and the location is perfect for traveling by car. As a bonus, they offer discounts and free visits to a private lake. The hotel owners are ready to help with anything you need and can offer advice on how to spend your time in the area. Keep in mind that there is no fridge in the room, but you can ask to store anything you need in the hotel's fridge at the reception.

I stayed here the second time in two years with my brother to hike in the mountains around. We loved how everything was clean and new. The rooms are spacious and quiet, just the sound of a stream from the outside. The staff were super nice and helpful in providing some information. We also liked breakfast with many options, many types of bread, vegetables, fruits, cereal and so on. A nice and useful thing was also a fridge (in the hallway) to store some food.

The location of the property is in a peaceful surroundings in a very nice little village. There is a restaurant in the property that offers authentic local cuisine. The owners run everything in the property and are very friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms offer spectacular views on the surrounding mountains.

Our stay at Rate Schneckenhaus Dachstein West was fantastic in every way. The welcoming atmosphere (Eva and Norberd was amazing hosts), combined with the excellent facilities and top-notch service, made it the perfect place for a family vacation. We felt truly cared for and valued as guests. We will definitely be returning someday and highly recommend Rate Schneckenhaus Dachstein West to other families looking for a wonderful stay.

The location was fabulous. It was 3 mins away from the bust stop. The village was excellent.

We liked the apartment a lot, very clean and decorated. The kids liked the room very much. Location is 20 min by car to Hallstatt.

We loved the unit - clean and large enough for our family of 4. The town and access to hiking, biking, sight seeing, and other towns was amazing. We made a few meals and appreciated the kitchen. And the laundry. We loved the available fresh bread and buns too.

Excellent stay . We were really impressed by the friendly nature of the hosts and they are very gracious. We had many small small requests and host quickly took care of those. My kids liked the garden and played with the hosts kid. We stayed in three room apartment with kitchen. It is a two story apartment, where one bedroom is on first floor and two bedrooms on second floor. Apartment is large, new, modern and very well furnished. Kitchen has everything one needs to prepare meals for a family. Views from apartment was very pretty. It is just 25 minutes drive from Hallstat and 5 minutes from Gosau. Salzburg is very near as well. I would highly recommend this apartment. We are already thinking of staying there again next time.
