I find the idea quite original, transform a prison into a hostel. All the doors and the main equippments of a prison have been conserved, the staff is extremely friendly and accessible and the hostel is equipped with a nice restaurant and all the facilities needed, The kitchen has a coffee machine which surprised me in a good way. Totally recommend.

the hotel's location was central and close to train station which was important for us because we were going to catch Bernina Express early in the morning. Room was clean and very big. I wasn't expecting that big room. The staff was very nice, special thanks to Brazilian lady on the reception. :) she was always smiling and friendly. Just a quick tip, some of the rooms doesn't have private bathroom. I didn't realize that while making a reservation. Thanks to the staff they remind me before the day we arrive Chur and easily changed our room to with a private bathroom one.
