I would definitely recommend this place. It is spotlessly clean. Love the fact that they leave little cartons of milk in an ice bucket on the landing to help yourself.
Food is lovely, plenty of it. Breakfast is well worth the £15.
All the staff are polite and friendly, not one miserable person!.
It is very quiet and you don't hear any noise from the pub.
We used it as a base between visiting Bristol and Bath, also not far from Longleat.
We really enjoyed our stay and could find no fault!!

I stayed in the attic room which was a very good size, good facilities, a very nice large double bed, also a sofa, nice shower room. Very clean and tidy and very comfortable. Stayed at the pub with friends and enjoyed a very good evening meal, great service and an excellent breakfast. Staff very helpful and friendly. Have stayed here several times and it is always a very nice visit, highly recommended.

Beautiful countryside.
An amazing flower assortment surrounding the pub.
Inside attention to detail.
Outstanding.
Fresh milk for the bedroom tea and coffee.
My room was very quiet with no disturbance from the pub.
Will definitely be returning.
I didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on the food.
But the accommodation was 10/10

The ambience was fantastic. We had a lovely pre dinner drink by a lovely lit fire. Followed by an exceptional meal loved by all four of us. Followed by a lovely after dinner drink in the bar. We had a very memorable night. We stayed in Very warm comfortable rooms. We absolutely loved our family time there and can’t wait to return.

Absolutely faultless.staff were excellent the room was perfect
Ambiance was great in the bar.
Food was really good especially breakfast,best I've had in a b&b.
Usually staying in a hotel or b&b something is not quite right but not at the carpenters Arms. 100% satisfied.

The location was an easy drive from Bath. It was still a lively and busy accomodation - although away from the hustle of Bath township - while still having that quaint english village feel. The meals were amazing - and all the staff were super friendly. True english feel. Amazing weekend away. Building and rooms were lovely to stay in with different options to suit our family.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent with a varied choice of cooked items. Staff were friendly and helpful. I liked the location which I found to be convenient for Bristol (although it's fair to say I only travelled 'off peak') and yet still out in the countryside.
