The Snug is the perfect place for short stays if you like a private space instead of a hotel. You'll have everything you need, all in one cosy place. Our self checkin is quick & easy. You have your own private entrance & driveway parking for 1 car. We are outside the Bristol Clean Air Zone. The Snug is a separate building in the garden of our property. We are on hand to solve problems, but more often than not you may not actually see us at all. You have your own decking area to sit outside if the weather allows, from which you can see the River Avon - please note this deck is slightly overlooked by our kitchen windows. There are easy chairs and a small table out on the deck for you. We also provide a fold-out table and chairs if you want to work (or use for eating from) inside The Snug, or these can be used outside too. The bedside tables are also tray tables - just lift the tray sections up and off if you need them.

Andy is retired, but when he was working he travelled a lot. We have designed The Snug to be the place he would love to have stayed in when he was away from home. Steph is also retired and co-hosts the property. We will respect your privacy, but we will be contactable if you need anything - just give us a ring.

The Snug is located within a 1990s residential development on the banks of The River Avon. It is now a conservation area but historically there is an industrial heritage in the area. Pictures on the walls inside The Snug show what things looked like in times gone by. We are in a peaceful residential location just by the River Avon and 4 miles from Bristol City Centre. There are local shops within walking distances and a few nice restaurants and take-aways locally as well. We are outside the Bristol Clean Air Zone (CAZ). But if you drive into or through the centre you may have to pay the CAZ charge - you can check your vehicle online by searching for Bristol Clean Air Zone. There are some lovely local walks along the river and in local nature reserves, such as Troopers Hill or Conham River Park . The number 5 bus will get you into the city and also to Clifton village. There are two bus stops you can choose - St Annes, Chapel Way (which is by the Coop) OR walk to Wootton Crescent bus stop which you can access through a lane further back along our road. It is an urban route into the city centre, but the bus is frequent and runs until around 10.00pm weekdays, and a little later on Saturdays. The service is reduced on Sundays. You can find the bus route on First Bus>Bristol>Number 5>St Annes to Clifton. An Uber into town takes between 10 and 15 minutes, or you can pick up an electric rental scooter nearby. Bristol Temple Meads Station is 15 minutes drive away. Bristol International Airport is 30-40 minutes drive away, and the route from the property avoids the CAZ. The City of Bath is 30 minutes by car - Bath also has a CAZ in operation. But you can use the Newbridge Park & Ride service just outside Bath to avoid Bath's CAZ. Or you can drive to Keynsham Station, park there and catch the train into Bath.
