It’s close to the beach and restaurants, clean, and has nice people. It was a very comfortable place to chill out. The bed was also comfortable.

Beautiful new space. Clean, comfortable and great hospitality. Property is just down a small laneway from the busy cliff side - full of cafes, restaurants and quaint gift/clothes shops. We needed to leave early for a train and the host checked in on us to make sure we arrived at our next destination safely. Best hotel we stayed in throughout our 3 weeks in India.

We stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights as a family, and honestly, we had a really good time. The rooms were neat and clean, exactly like the photos—no surprises there. Rahul was super helpful throughout our stay and made things really easy for us. The property is very close to both the beach and the cliff area. You just have to walk a short distance to reach the cliff, which wasn’t a problem for us. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and we were pretty happy with the experience.

Very good stay at varkala in low budget we got a amazing sea view room with private balcony, view from the balcony is amazing, 2 min walkable from the black sand beach varkala, cafe are only 1 min walkable from property, in this price I don’t think any other properties give these like sea view rooms at varkala very worth full

The location of this hostel is really good. They have Yoga classes everyday and the chilling area is great

The Gateway Varkala was a very nice place to stay. Everything in the hotel, from the staff, service, and location was top notch. The grounds are large and kept impeccable with a nice swimming pool. The breakfast was very varied and enjoyable, and the staff at breakfast were very accommodating with any requests. My wife scheduled a massage in the spa, and she said it was amazing. Thank you Gateway Varkala!
