I was blessed that I ended up here. It is under new ownership and management. Not everything ready but everything has solution. I am female solo traveller. Felt completely comfortable and safe. Have a great single room with nice bathroom. Perfect for 1 person with simply divine view. When there was no yoga so they arranged for me 1-1 sessions on the dock. The food was delicious, authentic Keralan food. The staff were fantastic especially the manager Ravi. Very good at customer relations. The Ayurvedic massage was so superb I had another in my short 2 night trip. Next time I will take it to do much longer as the avyuredic treatments need a week. The therapist was so dedicated that in just2 treatments I felt a change. The location is sublime. So peaceful. So quiet. So pretty. Highly recommend. The yoga Shala was under short renovation but it looks to be a beautiful space to do yoga. A short 30 min auto tuk tuk to varkala beach and then back to serenity.

We had an amazing stay at this resort in Varkala.The location is perfect peaceful and away from the crowds, yet the beach is just a short walk away. We were a group of 21 people, and everyone had a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was well organized. A special thanks to the owner, who was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. He guided us with everything we needed and made sure our trip was smooth and enjoyable. His hospitality truly made a difference. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay in Varkala. We would definitely love to visit again 😍

2 days are enough for Varkala.

2 days are enough for Varkala. We went for 3 days and it was really amazing staying there and chilling. Do not skip Mangrove Forest (enjoy boat ride) and cafe Sarwaa. Other Best Recommendations: Darjeeling Cafe Sun Francisco Café & Resto Varkala Beach Black Sand Beach Kappil Beach

It's a two night stop. The cliff top

It's a two night stop. The cliff top Is great and the spectacle is beautiful. The back is a long strip of sand, no shade, no umbrellas to hire. You need to be off it from 11-4. The lifeguards are a very enthusiastic bunch and at the first sign of the waves getting vaguely interesting blow their whistles and get everyone into water below the knee. All you'll hear on Varkala beach are the shrieks of fun from the Indians being drowned out by the men in yellow and red. Go to, Lighthouse Beach at Kovalam, much better.

The Hostel Stories Hostel is one of those places that instantly makes you feel at home. The location is excellent—close to the cliff, beaches, and all the happening spots, yet peaceful enough to relax. The hostel has a great vibe, especially if you enjoy meeting fellow travelers. The common areas are lively, and it’s easy to strike up conversations or just unwind after a long day exploring. The staff are friendly, helpful, and always ready with local recommendations, which made the experience even better. Rooms and dorms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The ambiance is laid-back, with a perfect mix of fun and calm. Whether you’re traveling solo or with friends, this place works really well.

The place is situated in the North cliff ,so close to all the cafés ,shopping streets in the cliff. The hosts are absolutely wonderful and helpful with our needs !! The stay is beautiful,clean and well maintained .Feels like home . Great Wi-Fi connection - if you have plan to work from the hotel.And they have a gaming hub THE TERRACE with lots of games and activities it’s fun too ,clean and maintained as well. Food service is also quick and the hosts help out if you need any kind of suggestions on what to do in varkala.

If you’re in Varkala, Baba Luru’s is truly the place to be. A clean and comfortable environment, surrounded by greenery and close to North Cliff. Keegan, the guy who runs it, is absolutely amazing.
