Mumbai is a huge city that is really India's New York.

Mumbai is a huge city that is really India's New York. It is chaotic and dirty and one big construction zone. That said, if you want to experience India's number one city you cannot pass up spending 3 or 4 days, at least, in Mumbai. From the bars to the restaurants, from the bookstores to the museums, from the malls to the markets, from the art galleries to the coffee shops, from the skyscrapers to the art deco architecture, from the beach to Bollywood, from the mosques, temples, churches and even synagogues Mumbai is the beating heart of India!

Great for a short trip, avoid paid tours, better to have a driver that can take you where you want to go as nothing needs a long time. Def try the Bombay Canteen and Mag St Cafe for food, both amazing. Be prepared to be hassled, but that is Mumbai!

The purpose for which I came here if that get fulfilled then I might have to come here again. Or else this is the first time and will be the last time in Mumbai. I just went to Marine Drive day before yesterday when I reached here in Mumbai. That moment was really awesome for me. I really every second of that moment when I was there. And the photo which I pasted there is of the Marine Drive itself where I am standing just at the pavement and at my back side is the Arabian Sea.

Great city.

Great city. It has a very powerful effect on the senses though. If you are sensitive to certain smells...it could be a problem for you. But the city has plenty to do, places to see and great food. Plus the transportation options are very good. Also people are very nice here. It is important to note that if you are black you will very likely get a ton of photo requests from random people or families, how you feel about that is up to you, just giving you a heads up.

It was a bit of a short stay so we did not get much time to explore the real Mumbai. There is a lot to do and explore Mumbai. We hired a taxi for a whole day which cost R3000.00 and it can take you to all the places worth visiting but the catch is how long can you stay at each places. it is a very crowded place and the traffic can be horrendous. The Gateway of India is worth a visit but again it was very crowded on the day we went. Thought about going to one of the famous hotel but again we ran out of time.

Walking distance from Mumbai airport, this hotel is perfect location for short visits. The room was really clean and comfortable and the shower had great pressure and hot water. We were able to walk to the metro nearby and later to the airport for our outbound international flight. Though in an industrial area, the food options nearby are plentiful and super delicious and extraordinarily cheap!
