The facilities were "spot on" for someone looking to find an amazing rural place to stay for relaxed vacation or for a well deserved rest after exploring the surrounding Gerês region. From the moment we arrived, the owner was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure every aspect of our stay was perfect.
One of the highlights was the delicious breakfast each morning. The variety and quality of the food were outstanding, with fresh ingredients and thoughtful preparation that made each meal a delightful start to the day.
There is a gated parking space for your car as well

Highly recommend the place, super nice owner. The breakfast was really great, and also the food for dinner (which highly recommended!), we would love to stay again in the future. Bonus tip: you can also visit the Pousada Caniçada for a coffee/tea with a nice view.

We had such a relaxing time at this peaceful oasis, thanks to the amazing hospitality of the lovely sisters Sophia and Susanna and great traditional 'typical' cooking. This gorgeous old farmhouse and the surrounding buildings have been lovingly restored to provide comfortable accommodation The pool is fantastic, and much-needed in the hot weather.
Susanna and Sophia went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. Thanks so much for a very special break, we will be back!

Our stay in Quinta de Bârbedo was marvelous! The staff was superb, always available to attend us and give us the best experience!
The hotel has good facilities and a good location for those who want to go to Gerês.
But the greatest aspect is the food! The food is wonderful! It's typical Portuguese food, but with the taste of mom/grandma food 🤤 Even the sandwichs from the snack bar service are great! Great quality and not expensive!
We totally recommend Quinta de Bârbedo! And we hope to go again someday...
