SpainI stayed at the Spot Hostel while walking the Camino de Santiago and it was the perfect stay. Most of the rooms are private, but in the common areas you get to relax with other pilgrims. Fão, where the Hostel is located is a charming village and has restaurants if you don’t want to use the kitchen at the hostel.

SloveniaAna's dad was taking care of the fireplace long into the evening to keep us warm, and it was more than enough to feel & sleep comfortably. Her mom took really good care in keeping the place clean, neat and tidy. The bed came with a clean & spotless mattress, and most importantly, it was bed bugs free, which is a rare privilege for camino accommodation. A large supermarket with warm fresh bread is a 3 min walk away. The kitchen comes 100% equipped. The place itself is an amazing sunset spotting site. After reviewing some overly dramatic reviews from precious guests, my stay was nothing but a very positive surprise.

United KingdomReally comfortable and very clean guesthouse. We enjoyed our stay here - very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and toiletries provided. Everything is modern and new including dishwasher, washing machine, hob and coffee machine.The hosts are friendly and responsive, recommended that we try the bakery across the road for the local specialty, clarinhas, which were really tasty! The location is great, in the centre of Fao and right on the Camino.

United StatesOur family of four stayed in a back bungalow/casita with a great covered patio that was perfect for outdoor dining. The grounds are verdant and very well-cared for. There’s even a futbol field! St Augustine grass was all throughout the grounds, including around the pool. There are also chickens, roosters, geese, and swans oh my! enclosed on the property. Wonderful to wake up to the crowing roosters! The AC worked great. The host had a generous supply of espresso pods available and this is the first vacation rental that had a nonstick pan that wasn’t scratched up. There is a very large supermarket nearby, too. The hosts were extremely welcoming, accommodating, responsive, and concerned with your comfort. When they said they wanted us to feel at home, they really meant it.

United StatesThe house is spectacular. But my favorite thing about this place... Is the owner. I have stayed in a lot of private residences during my travels, but the owner here is simply amazing. She did everything she could to make my stay a wonderful experience. She personally picked me up from town to take me to her residence. She made an amazing meal for me. Additionally, I was having some hip pain, and she let me use her foam roller and she had some other solutions to make my hip better. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Beautiful, comfortable and clean new house with lots of space, a private pool, a barbecue and everything you need on vacation. Quiet location, close to the coast and little villages with restaurants and supermarkets. We had a really good stay and would definitely come back!

Great staff, clean and quality rooms, and wonderful attached restaurant! We loved our stay at Hotel Suave Mar, and we really loved the town Esposende - it was our second day on the Camino and we were able to find a laundromat really close to the accommodations. Wonderful views of the pool from our room, and amazing views of the ocean during dinner! I wish we could have stayed another day! Thank you to the staff for going above and beyond to make us comfortable!

One of the best accommodations I have stayed on Camino! Very nice staff, private showers and good private bunk beds. I really enjoyed the outside area as well. We got a bottle of their Vino verde they sell on a spot, and it was super tasty! Def recommend this place.

This is a beautiful property with the most amazing walled garden and pool. The accommodation is comfortable. It was a peaceful place to stay right on the Camino.

Right on the Camino route, worth getting there early, treat yourself to a short day walking and an afternoon lying in the hammocks , sitting in the garden or swimming in the Salt water pool. We arrived on a Monday and the local restaurant was closed, but Raquel advised us to go to the local mini market - very mini with limited choice, but cheese , eggs and bacon meant an excellent omelette cooked in the accommodations kitchen.
