The owners went out of their way to help us all by getting our three rooms cleaned so we could book in a number of hours early, as we all needed to get ready for a family wedding.
Our rooms were super clean, beds really comfortable, fantastic shower/water pressure, and the softest, biggest towels I've ever used !
We were made to feel welcomed & after we left were called by the owner to let me know that we had left some belongings behind. So these lovely owners are obviously also very honest.
Without a doubt, I would stay again at the Southern Comfort Motel, and also highly recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in beautiful Cootamundra.

The day manager was really nice and helpful, we had a small issue and he took the time to resolve it for us. The room was very spacious, everything was clean and looked fairly new. We had a downstairs room, so it was nice to sit outside which looked out on the golf course. We saw some kangaroos one morning.

Great location, back door from your room opens out to big courtyard and the pool. Very relaxing. Staff were friendly & anything you needed the Manager supplied. Plenty to explore in Cootamundra. Loved it.

It's a great location, off grid & It feels like your own place. Having the placed stocked up give it that home vibe. Having firewood ready to go is an awesome added touch. My son & I had the indoor fire going & enjoyed the outdoor fire in the evening star gazing.

Cootamundra is an ideal distance for an over night stay between Melbourne and Brisbane. The town has good services and is not too big. Very nice touring country to the north through Cowra and western towns.

No fast food outlets,
We were also there looking for property as we are thinking of moving there from the big smoke.

When we booked we explained that we have show dogs that do...
When we booked we explained that we have show dogs that do NOT sleep in the room but either sleep in the car or in a trailer.. i was told a "pet fee" would be charged but it then sudenly turned into $100 extra for my dogs.. ( which still slept in the car) I had to argue for a parking space as I was told to park in the street ( after already paying the extra for the dogs., although a van had been given 3 parking spots.
The lovely cleaner Jill was fantastic , she sorted out a parking spot and was extremely helpfull.
The family room was very small and cramped was sufficent for 3 people but wouldnt recommend for a family
The shower dripped for most of the night but it was hot so thankful for that
