We love this place! It's a very unique take on accommodation in St Helens. It rained the whole day when we were there, but staying here still make it a worthwhile vacation. The bathtub and the bbq was wonderful, and the place was quite private. Bed is very comfortable too, the whole place was made up to feel luxurious. Highly recommend

Pretty good! Close to the bay with the great view and you could just park your car outside the room, if there’s still got a parking.

It's a lovely duplex with a beautiful front row view of the ocean. It's well-equipped, well-maintained, and convenient, for a longer stay than we had the chance to have. It has everything you might wish for, including a red-light flashlight for nighttime fairy penguin viewing. The shore and nearby beach are both easily accessible. The bedroom's fabulous, in particular the view of the ocean in two directions.

Homemade soap is a bonus as I can't use chemicals and this was very unique compared to other places.
I Would love to see more places use tox free products and the bonus is it's also better for the environment and people's health.

Perfect!
The room was large, clean and had a sea view.
Elsa, the receptionist, was very kind and even gave us advice on visiting the surrounding area.
I highly recommend it.

The beach, even in winter is beautiful, and the view from our accommodation was brilliant.
No shops in the area and the only eatery was closed for a few weeks. St Helens is only 10 minutes away so stock up there.

Close connection to the bird-filled lake and clean clear wild beach beyond. Our unit looked over a green lawn to the lake and beach, and the night was filled with the soothing rhythm of waves thumping sand.

White sands estate.
White sands estate. Windy the first day we arrived but was a warm tassie 30degree day so that wasnt a problem. I imagine if its windy and not summer, one would need jackets and stay indoors. Driving to find food for dinner as we had not booked in the restaurant the night we arrived and they were fully booked. We ended up in Scamander and had some great food but service was poor only cos there was minimal communication from the owners and only two working in the kitchen.
Falmouth is a beautiful spot with clear waters and very relaxed vibe, minimal buildings so it feels so isolated and is a good escape from busy life

Binalong Bay is a quiet area with stunning beach views.
Binalong Bay is a quiet area with stunning beach views. Its sand is soft and white and the water is a beautiful aqua colour. The Bay only has one restaurant (serving Pizzas) and would benefit greatly with a cafe and general store. It is a perfect place to unwind.

We tried to found charm in the fibro beach shack, but the long lack of care of it made it frustrating and disgusting to stay. Paid 4 nights, left after 2 feeling depressed... great location but not worth the price asked, we do not recommend this dirty shack, there are other places around...

While it was a drive out of town, the four of us thought that was a +ve as it was quiet, in a very good neighbourhood, and with fantastic views over the lake. (superb sunsets when we were there!)
Easy access to the lake, and pleasant, scenic walks close by.
The house had everything we needed, and was very clean, comfortable and tidy.

Such appealing scenery. Every photo a winner!
Such appealing scenery. Every photo a winner! The red lichen against the blue sky and pristine blue water, with yellow grasses in the foreground … unique area of Tasmania. We chose to stay in a BnB and eat on site. St Helens is the place to pick up supplies and then collect your fresh oysters on the way to Binalong Bay.

Our stay at The Surfside Beaumaris was an absolute highlight of our trip! This place is a true hidden gem, tucked away in a beautiful location right on the beach.
What truly made our experience special was the lovely couple running the hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were met with such a warm and genuine welcome. It’s clear they are doing a fantastic job—their passion for hospitality shines through in every detail, and they go above and beyond to make every guest feel at home.
The beachside restaurant is a must-visit. The food was absolutely awesome—everything was freshly cooked, bursting with flavor, and featured great local Tasmanian ingredients. There is nothing quite like enjoying a delicious, fresh meal while looking out at the ocean. The atmosphere is relaxed, the views are stunning, and the service is top-notch.
If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with incredible views and owners who truly care, this is the place. Thank you for such a lovely stay—we will definitely be back!
