Wow. We couldn't believe the lodging we drove up to when we arrived. This is an essentially brand-new single small house in the middle of a LARGE reserve of undeveloped forested land that's only a few miles from downtown Launceston. It features large windows all around which were great because there are no neighbors and you can watch the animals hopping by or birds flying around all evening/night/morning. The bed was uber-comfortable and it had all the appliances (new!) we could have wanted.

Our flight got cancelled late at night. We were lucky to have a vacancy for us. And Kerry was helpful to let us into the villa and give us advice to get our late dinner nearby.
The place was comfortable and spacious for the four of us. Not too far from the airport.

The entire property was very beautiful. Our room was more than expected - also very beautiful. Location was great. We needed to be close to the airport which was only 15 minutes away. The location was also great because I like watching birds, and there were many around in the morning, which I loved. We travel to a lot of places and this is certainly one of the very top places we have ever stayed in. The owner was very nice, and was kind to provide breakfast.

One must bear in mind that the Coachman's cottage in which we stayed for 3 nights was built C1830 so it may not be comfortable for some eg., stairs will be difficult for the handicapped. However, most people come here for the experience of what our forebears encountered. This is what got plus the bonus of exploring the extensive grounds, other heritage buildings, additional tours and an Information centre complete with art exhibition and cafe.

We stayed in the King Penthouse with Sofa Bed. The apartment was beautiful and very spacious. Loved the gas fire. It was within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Relbia is such a picturesque area; community needs are being met and folk are clearly proud to be apart of the town. Basic shopping needs are evident, but central for additional discovery trips in such an historical area for any traveller.
The 'Taste of Tassie' commences here without a doubt as the array of local vineyards certainly entice any passer-by to stop a little longer.
Relbia is on point!

We where their for the Glover prizegiving which was on Friday night. It was a great success. We didn’t do much else in evondale however we did have a couple of meals which I must say were only average. The coffee was good. Evandale is extremely pretty and there are some excellent antique stores and art galleries that are well worth a visit.

Not much to do but great coffee shop Ernest and Ernesto, Big IGA had great selection of fresh food and salads. Close to Symmons plains raceway so convenient in that sense. Woolmers and Brickenden on the doorstep.

Nice surprise greeted by a bottle of wine & cookies when checked in. Location was so good less than 5 min walk from a kitchen / gourmet supermarket. Toilet paper roll dispenser is located inside the washing basin cabinet hooked on the door which was an interesting location.

It is a quiet, rural location within a short drive to many historical attractions. If anything was slightly wrong it would be the size of the accommodation for just the two of us. It was good to lie in of a morning then take off for breakfast and sightseeing.

Excellent breakfast selection, very thoughtful touches to room, very warm and comfortable, I also liked the "share-house" vibe while retaining privacy. But unpleasant experience with host: my flight was cancelled so I couldn't be there for the first night, then work rescheduled so I didn't stay for the third night. The host was concerned that she would lose income from the booking, complaining that she paid her mortgage from income from hosting, UNTIL she realised that I had already paid and then she quickly switched to refusing my query about a refund, that she couldn't because I hadn't given 48 hours notice (which was impossible in the circumstances). Booking.com was also very unhelpful - other sites do a better job with this.

I really rate Launceston, especially Cataract Gorge, City Park, Riverbend Park, QV Museum, the old city charm and many fabulous places to eat. It is compact, comparatively affordable and easy to get around.

Inveresk is on the hill overlooking Launceston.
Inveresk is on the hill overlooking Launceston. It is a well established suburb with lots of houses on the hill, in the middle of nature. Very close the CBD and fine dining restaurants but also close to shops and take-aways. From Launceston there are short 1-2 hour drive to see penguins, platypuss and Tasmanian devils at Cradle Mt. Not much of night-club life but perfect for families or honeymoon. Not overpriced and the locals are exceptionally welcomming, starting from the car rental at the airport to the very knoledgable young guides in the national parks, santcuaries and museums. Roads are good and maintained but suggest AWD or 4WD.

Longford is a beautiful village with much improved facilities over the years and some interesting, quirky shops. We aways enjoy staying there or even just stopping for morning tea on our travels. Good option if continuing south after having been to Launceston, the North West Coast or before or after an interstate flight as it is only minutes from Launceston Airport. We had a delicious gourmet pizza from the Longford Pizza House.
