AustraliaIt was super quaint. A fellow gives free platypus tours from their doorway every evening but we missed it because our ferry was late. Very nice area to walk around to do a little small town sightseeing and shopping.

Central for all the exploring we did. -

Trowunna wildlife sanctuary, Alum cliffs, Cradle mountain, Cararact gorge cruise, Levon canyon, Gunn plains cave.
Delicious dinner at Settlers Tavern. Duck n dine awesome diner for burgers and fish n chips etc.
Still left plenty to do for the next trip.

Quaint town with good food and entertainment options. Well situated to visit Cradle Mountain or the north coast of Tasmania. Friendly people with some good surrounding areas to explore as well eg Liffey Falls or the Central Highlands

Pretty town, friendly locals, plenty to see and do, some interesting shopping, fabulous museum full of objects showing life in the late 1800s and early 1900s, and showcasing the magnificent Yarns Artwork in Silk - 4 amazing tapestries of Deloraine and surrounds created by locals. The town is full of sculptures and artwork. It is part of the Tasting Trail - honey, smoked salmon, cheese, wine.

It's a nice Aussie country town with nice people.
It's a nice Aussie country town with nice people. There's a real sense of community in the town that is missing in most big cities. You probably don't need to spend days there, but a 1-2 day visit would be interesting.

This accomadation was outstanding.
This accomadation was outstanding. Everything was perfect and the cabin was beautifully done and very comfortable. Well equipped with everything you need. Was lovely sitting out the front on the porch with a coffee looking at cows and very cute alpaca’s. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling around beautiful Tasmania.🥰

The hotel is an old Hotel but really looked after with all the facilities needed.
The bed was super comfortable, large and new with an electric blanket. The bathroom spotless.
Tea and coffee available for free in the large dining room.
Dinner in the dining room a good menu.
I would stay here again and recommend to anyone.

Room suited our needs for the short stay in Deloraine Room had a mountain view. Were a bit concerned that we had no air con but wasn't necessary in Deloraine. We were told by locals that heating is more important than cooling. The overhead fan and open window di the trick. Very pleasant. We noticed that some units did have air con. Be aware that the office is closed until 2pm for book in. That was a bit annoying

We had a lovely stay and would have stayed for longer if a booking had been available. Right in the heart of to Deloraine, we had easy access to the supermarket, shops and the caravan Park where our friends were staying. Sonja and Alistair were very friendly and hospitable. They have set up a great little place for visitors. It had everything and more than we needed. We would certainly stay there again.
