This little studio apartment was perfect for our week long stay in Cambridge. We were on bikes, and the studio is right on a trail that leads from Cherry Hinton into Cambridge along Mill Street—which has lots of good eateries and leads right to town and the train station. The studio was also really well taken of—we had all the supplies we needed for cooking—a nice shower and a comfortable bed. And as others have noted, our hosts were thoughtful and really responsive!

My stay at Jenny’s home was absolutely wonderful.

My stay at Jenny’s home was absolutely wonderful. From the moment I stepped inside, the house had the sweetest, most welcoming smell — it instantly felt like a peaceful escape. The kitchen and dining room were absolutely beautiful: modern, spotless, and fully equipped with every utility you could possibly need. Cooking and dining there felt effortless and enjoyable. The home itself is incredibly spacious and thoughtfully laid out. The beds were very comfortable, and all the bedding was fresh, clean, and soft — I slept so well every night. Every room was immaculate and felt cared for with real attention to detail. Access to the property was very easy, and Jenny was a brilliant host from start to finish. She communicated clearly, made everything simple, and truly went above and beyond to ensure a smooth, comfortable stay. This is genuinely one of the loveliest homes I’ve stayed in. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Cambridge. Thank you so much, Jenny! 🌸🏡✨

Arrived at night in the dark.

Arrived at night in the dark. There was some sort of carribean African celebration party going on in the pub with people drinking in the car park in front of the building. Nobody on the reception desk when we got there and people that were there ignored us until an elderly man went and searched for a receptionist.

Milton is a cute village outside of the city.

Milton is a cute village outside of the city. It has a beautiful country park with amazing walks, a great playground for children and a lovely cafe. There are some great pubs in the village all offering great meals! Bus routes that go into the city centre or towards Ely which is stunning too! Love this village!

Beautiful, historic .

Beautiful, historic . Lots of little streets to explore but choose the day you go a s some of the colleges are closed to the public on a Monday , also make sure you are aware of the cost of getting in not all are free. The American cemetery is worth a visit the tour bus can take you there or the normal bus but there is a car park and it’s easy to get there. Though on this occasion I didn’t go punting on the Cam that is well worth doing. Summer there are lots of not so polite tourists so be aware of that.

I loved the country inn feel to this place - especially the the cosy back room where you could stay and eat The food was good at dinner- had the special and the breakfast sausage bap - absolutely delicious I did like the size of the bathroom - albeit a little tired The tele did not work too well - couldn’t change the channels I would definitely return here - loved the feel of the place

Cambridge is just wonderful and plenty of amazing parks.

Cambridge is just wonderful and plenty of amazing parks. Transport are excellent but if the weather is nice just rent a bike because South England is very plain and beautiful (biker paradise). Rent a car just for one day and travel around some gorgeous villages around (like Hemingford) where you'll find ethereal peace and no flock of tourists. The English drivers are polite and not aggressive like the Italian ones.. For the best coffee we suggest The Locker. We are in love with british pub (Fort St.George, The Eagle) and Green King Cambridshire beer... try Abbot. We were very lucky to attend the Cambridge Folk Festival which we really really loved.. not just for the great music but for the kind of atmosphere which can be found only in Britain...

Very pretty but WAAAAAAYYY too many people in early August.

Very pretty but WAAAAAAYYY too many people in early August. I don't know how the Cambridge residents mange it, it was so packed with tourists, all traveling in packs of what felt like 50, with headsets on following umbrella waving guides. Totally overwhelming and borderline scary when you almost get shoved into the road while trying to pass groups. I will go back in mid winter to better enjoy the town. We went on a punting tour which was nice, but also crowded, and to the Cambridge Science Center which was excellent!
