The hotel was beuatiful and located perfectly to be near restaurants and bars (one nearby even had free live music my first night!) while still being quiet. I absolutely loved the elegance of the hotel, the decor was amazing, bed was comfortable and cosy, my room had a lot of natural light, wonderful water pressure in the shower.

The house was in a neighborhood and very quiet. The heating worked exceptionally well downstairs . The kitchen was well stocked with equipment. The shower was clean and efficient with plenty of hot water. The floors were clean and in good repair. The washing machine worked perfectly and there was a place to air dry clothes. The upstairs bathroom was in nice condition with a couple of issues (see below). The living room was comfortable and the TV worked well. Parking was always available. It was a short drive to supermarkets and shopping.

Town was pretty good,and a good selection of shops ,cafes...

Town was pretty good,and a good selection of shops ,cafes and restaurants There is a lot of modernising going on at the moment in town centre, and it could do with a couple of new pubs in the new town area, you need to go closer to old town for more choice. We didn't do any site seeing so cannot comment

I know Stevenage of old and have been in the area many times over the years. Excellent facilities and very well sign-posted as to where you need to be. The night life is also very good. The Old Town is a wonder and worth a visit. I travel just over an hour to be in Stevenage and make the most of it.

Nice town and huge retail parks.

Nice town and huge retail parks. We were there to pick up a van and the car dealerships there are huuuuuge!!! Also parks and recreation grounds dotted around everywhere, so always somewhere to walk. Easy access to other towns in the surrounding area.

Stevenage used to be much more vibrant.

Stevenage used to be much more vibrant. I was shocked to see that all the shops and businesses in the town centre were closed by 6 pm on a weekday. Only happening place was Tesco in the Stevenage town centre. The shopping centre looked like was a deserted place (see photos). Next time, I will go to Cambridge.

The size of the rooms are too small.

The size of the rooms are too small. I requested for two single bed rooms of which only one room was made available. The corridor is dirty and smelling. There was complementary bottle water which was being said that we had to purchase. Never again would I book Ibis as it does not suit for purposes and far beyond expectations.

We have stayed in this hotel a number of times when we travel to England to visit family. The rooms are clean and spacious. We particularly like the breakfast, and having complimentary coffees/teas and fruit in the reception area but what makes this hotel stand out and brings us back there time and again are the staff. They are so helpful and friendly and no request is a problem.

Hotel Cromwell exceeded all expectation. The Staff were all friendly & helpful and were dressed very smartly. The Hotel was immaculate and had been nicely decorated for Christmas. Our bedroom was well appointed with chairs and the bed was comfortable. The Hotel was well situated for places we wanted to see in Hertfordshire.

Very nice rooms, good overall levels of comfort and presentation in common areas and rooms. The main house is quirky in places which adds to the charm. There are dining options within the hotel at a number of price points. Parking is easy and plentiful. Easy access to main routes and local area.
