Nice and quiet. Just outside of town. Had a nice restaurant and a pub style bar in the common area near the front desk. And I am a cat whisperer so the hotel cat Miss Hattie was the first employee to visit me.

Breakfast was self-serve buffet style but specific orders (eg porridge) were made-to-order. Service was quiet and efficient but we went very early. No complaints.

We had the king size room with a tub and we loved it. The bathroom was big and warm. We loved having a kettle and tea things as well as a fridge. The breakfast was amazing and there was plenty of room.

We loved having granola with our yogurt. Microwave and well equipped kitchenette made it feel homey. Milk in the refrigerator was wonderful for our tea, too. Lovely garden view over the promenade. Room included everything you needed and was decorated nicely.

A large village with friendly inhabitants!
A large village with friendly inhabitants! There is a pleasant local pub with excellent food and a quiz (maybe every Thursday?) It is quiet and close to all the Cotswolds have to offer as well as being midway between Cheltenham and Gloucester.

The accommodation had everything we could need. It's comfortable, and clean, with good facilities. We appreciated the wine and treats in the fridge! The owners - Bob and Matt -are very kind and helpful - perfect hosts! We can highly recommend it - and we hope to come back again.

An excellent choice for a short City Break.
An excellent choice for a short City Break. Cathedral and Guide (Joan) was excellent and the tour was informative and excellent. The Docks - with Summer Beach - was well worth the visit. Good meals in The Anchor Inn, Epney Saul GL2 7LN; The Lord High Constable (Wetherspoon), Docks; and The Royal Exchange, Hartpury. Also had an excellent visit to ; 'Nature in Art', Twigworth, GL2 9PG and finally Westbury Court Dutch Gardens.

Cheltenham is absolute gem and possibly my favourite town in England. It is such a beauty, the architecture, homes, it feels as though you're in a French town. The people are so kind and welcoming too. We enjoyed the art galleries and there was so many. A beautiful decadent town.

Lovely host, and also very thoughtful of our needs. She prepared an extra bed for us before we arrived to the accommodation, many thanks. I would recommend this accommodation as it is very comfortable, easy check-in, it’s also very clean. The area is quiet which is better for guests who love to relax. Thank you

Great cathedral and the area around the Cathedral.
Great cathedral and the area around the Cathedral. Dock are was good with selection of bars and restaurants. The city centre is suffering like a number of UK cities, looking pretty run down with numerous closed shops and facilities. Although some work is being done to improve things.

We had a great stay at The Annex - Matt and Rob made us feel right at home, greeting us when we checked in and giving us the tour of the place pointing out all the lovely touches that were included. Rituals products in the bathroom, kitchen very well stocked, Netflix and an Alexa with unlimited music. I don’t think the photos do the place justice as it is decorated to a high standard and very clean throughout. Everything had been thought of right down to “make up remover” cloths in the bathroom and wireless charging / USB plugs next to the beds. A great stay, easy to get to - we will be back!

My first visit to Gloucester.
My first visit to Gloucester. Came for the Tom Jones concert at the Kingsholm Stadium. Stayed overnight at the Indigo Hotel - nice hotel.
Gloucester feels like a city of two parts. The quays area is quite upmarket, nice shops and restaurants. However, a short distance from the centre is very run down. I saw people lying in doorways under the influence of drugs or alcohol, larger houses converted to HMOs, run down/derelict properties, rubbish in the streets. Groups of males hanging around in the beautiful park (had I have been on my own I’d have felt this a little intimidating) - there were police in the park as I walked past.

Some very beautiful buildings in Cheltenham Montpelier was lovely Montpelier Gardens. The promenade was disappointing. The shops are very tatty. The town used to be beautiful, Pittville Park and the surrounding area is quite stunning.
