Quiet neighborhood, 12 minutes to Troon ferry terminal, plenty of on street parking. Interior of this 1 bed flat was modern and well furnished. Kitchen had utensils to make simple meals. Bed was comfortable. Host was communicative via app and text. Recommended.

Prestwick's a great town with great restaurant and bar options, as well as being a Mecca for golfing enthusiasts. Use as a base for all of Ayrshire's terrific links and parkland courses at all price levels.

Very expensive, the food and view is outstanding. Most of the staff were friendly and very helpful. Maybe a small fridge in the rooms especially the cabins would help keep cold drinks especially on hot days. All in all if you can afford there prices it will be worth it.

i enjoyed looking around the town, it seemed a really interesting place, I hadn't visited that part of Scotland before. I was a bit surprised how nice the beach was and also liked the tulip display in the George Brown remembrance garden, it was really eye catching!

Beautiful location surrounded with lovely countryside we ate at the hotel which has a modern spotless restaurant and the food is 1st class ,there is a local fishing pond nearby and also shops within walking distance. There's a public bar that is very welcoming and had live music on Saturday night .there is a bus stop right outside that can take you into Ayr

Prestwick is a perfectly fine Scottish seaside town. Access to golf facilities and the beach are very good. Choice of restaurants and pubs is excellent. Beware though of the property you use for your stay. Someone with authorised access to the property I rented ( The Bradshaw) is a thief.

Troon is a nice seaside town with many cafes bars and restaurants to visit. It has three beaches and a nice long promenade. There are plenty of good walks to do in and around the town centre and a good selection of shops and a big supermarket to visit. Parking can be tricky at busy times, if you are staying in the town centre, best to find accommodation with parking. Weather is very changeable, so always have wet weather gear! Dog friendly place too.

We left this area in the 70's when Ayr was a vibrant bustling town with good shops and was the cultural hub for the area. The years and the industrial decline have not been kind to the town, It is still pleasant enough and the Ayrshire coast is still magnificent. The many historical sites and the many golf courses still make it a great place to visit.

Tarbolton is a small place and the pub is on a busy main road but it was close to Dumfries house which we wanted to visit and the coast for trips to the islands. The evening meals were good standard and price. We were notified that live music takes place on a Saturday night until late but it did not affect us as we were leaving on Saturday morning.
