1) View from the room (307) is the best I have had in my life. You can see the awesome Dhauladhar range right from the balcony.
2) Staff is amazing. On the last day we had to check out early morning, they quickly rustled up breakfast for us even though it was earlier than their usual start time.
3) Food, room, Wi-Fi etc were all good.
4) This place is perfect for those who prefer peace and quiet as it is a bit away from the main town center.

This little stay on our way back from Dharamshala would always remain in my mind. Getting a great, almost touching view of the Dhauladhar Range, in the morning from the little verandah while taking a cup of tea was out of the world. Generally, one gets either mountain or valley to experience the nature; but this property has the dual advantage of getting a touch of both. They have a beautiful rivulet (khad) flowing just by the side of the property and connected by a nice stair. Spending the evening by the side of the stream among the sound of the river and the birds chirping is impossible to forget. What's more the far end of the property is connected with a Poplar plantation and they have a little field there too. This was so refreshing. If you are lucky you could see owls roosting on the Poplar. They are constructing a nice Yoga centre adjoining this field. I think this is also a very nice choice. I would also like emphasize the gastronomic side of the travel. As we are very much foodie, we had an instant love with the farm fresh food. Sachinji and Arvindji were great in filling our food desire unbelievably. I would recommend everybody to taste their Chicken and Mutton Rara and mixed vegetable for sure.

Great location and view, very good food in the restaurant. I stayed here on night on my way to a wedding, this was perfect as it was close to the airport. Also, the hotel has a taxi service, which through i booked a driver for a few hours to explore dharamshala, great place!

If the purpose of your visit is to visit Mata Baglamuki temple, then you most probably will look for hotel near the area of temple but there is very little choice so don't go for the cheap option as they may deny service to you at their convenience and finding alternate hotel on short notice is near to impossible especially on special days.

Dharamsala have its own vibe green ,white mountain peaceful nature tibetan culture makes it more attractive.i think everyone should have visit here in heaven .many meditation centre yoga classes here,i visit also dharamkot but i feel boring there , dharamkot is not much better then mcleodganj i feel totally bouring there ,but mcleodganj is best place to stay ever i think. hotel grand hill is the best place for stay ,near the market ,with all facilty ,all staff is friendly and helpful there, i will recommend Hotel grand hill.

The weather was pleasant, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. It can get crowded during weekends and peak season, and parking can be difficult. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend visiting."

Wrong time to visit.. over crowded and very hot. Did not expect Dharamshala to boil at 35 C. Most hotels are badly maintained and expensive for the quality and amenities.
It is best to visit for a day, cover a few places and head to other towns like Dalhousie. If you intend to do a spiritual retreat, then pick a place and stay put for a couple of days. Avoid tourist season.

The icing on the cake was the visit to the Dharamshala Cricket Ground to see live IPL Game.
Very lucky to get the tickets, well worth it.

mcleodganj is okayish...too crowded with narrow streets. leave early...visit bhagshu nag waterfall first then dalai Lama temple. church is good n naddi view point has excellent views... half day is enough for all this.

Mcleod Ganj is nice place to stay for a short while. We did not find a place with lots of activities. It is not a suitable place for people liking leisure walks. Since it has very limited space, can result in congestion additionally the traffic management is not up to standard though the locals are proactive in assisting.

We actually stayed in Dharmkot way above Dharamshala and McLoedganj.
If you are travelling by your big car or SUV please note that place is cramped. We traveled 17km in 2hr 50 minutes as I was travelling in Isuzu. If you plan to get their either you take your small car or you take bus.
Loved the Monastery and tea garden, A must visit place.
Do visit the waterfall in Bagsu and if you want to shop for souvenirs shop from Bagsu market as anywhere else is more expensive,
