Indiaperfect location if you've got a late/early flight at Catania airport. Host was friendly and easy to communicate with. The place was lovely, perfectly clean with some nice little design touches and comfortable beds. Walked to the airport with my suitcases and baby stroller in about 6 minutes.

PolandGreat location. Close to airport and buses going to pretty much all towns in Sicily. Really clean and aesthetic, even more so considering Sicilian standards. Friendly host. Funny location (it's a little home next to a home of an actual Italian family). Rather clean, calm and safe neighbourhood (compared to the rest of Catania). Dilleta itself was also spacious, modern, had bedroom, bathroom and big living room mixed with kitchen. There was also no cockroaches, bedbugs and other insects (unlike in other accomodations in Catania). Really - it's all you need for a few days trip. Definitely worth the price too. Oh and the bed - holy crap. I've never slept in a more comfortable bed. There's also high quality AC in bedroom.

Catania is always charming for us mediterraneans.
Catania is always charming for us mediterraneans. Although it should be more clean but then we love the market stalls shouting and bartering, we love the delicious food, delicacies and coffees and we love the warm discussions with the locals. Although maybe for some tourists it can be heavy and cluttered but us from Malta, a neighboring island to Sicily, it is normality and warmth. Love you Catania.

Its a nice calm area close to Catania.
Its a nice calm area close to Catania. Its much cleaner than other towns or Catania itself. Usually the garbage is lying around everywhere next to the roads, highways etc. but in Misterbianco it seemed a bit better.
When you drive towards Misterbianco you would think that it will be as trashy as the surrounding areas but thank god no. There are couple of pizzerias and bars at a very affordable price.

This is a small town on the way to Mt Etna.
This is a small town on the way to Mt Etna. We stayed here and were pleasantly surprised to find so many culinary gems!!! There are at least two exquisite cafes serving Sicilian delights that were top notch. There is also a fantastic sushi restaurant and seafood restaurant. We had local friends as a guide so they really showed us around to the best kept secrets of the area!! We can’t wait to visit again!

The location is perfect, easily reachable and well connected, 10 minutes away from Etnaland with amazing views. It is peaceful and surrounded by nature, and very relaxed.
The hosts are amazing.

Host were lovely, location wasn't great for finding something to eat. Room was located in basement, lacking some modern facilities, cooker used bottled gas. Room was large and you could see that it could sleep 4 or more people, with at least 3 sofa beds in place as well as the double bed.

Aci Castello is fine for a brief few-hour visit to see the historic castle, but I highly recommend staying elsewhere. The area feels quite isolated and far from everything you might need. We found the local amenities severely lacking, with a very limited number of cafes and shops. If you enjoy walking, you will likely be disappointed; there is zero nature, and the main promenade is heavily congested with traffic rather than being pedestrian-friendly. Overall, it lacks a comfortable, livable atmosphere, and there just isn't much to do or see beyond the main landmark

Breakfasts at Pasticceria Dolce Trinacria were amazing, the Coop at the Parco Commerciale Le Zagare is very large with in-store bakery. Lidl's also pretty good. Walking is OK, but one or two roads don't have paths, so care is needed.

We loved living like locals in this quaint town.
We loved living like locals in this quaint town. People there are very nice. We were lucky to be there for the San Giovanni festival, which was nice. We went for a wedding so we were with friends and family each day. Our friend was able to take us on little day trips. If we were just to stay in Acitrezza, then you don’t need that much time.
The food was good at the restaurants, but I wasn’t blown away. All of the restaurants have very similar menus. Coffee and cappuccinos and pizzas were excellent! Beaches are very rocky so I suggest going to one of the beach clubs for the day.

Catania is much calmer than the stereotypical Southern Italian cities - it is a true summer getaway destination! I didn't have time for it but a lot of my hostel friends did a hike to Mt. Etna, and I'll come back just for that! My purpose to visit Catania was a summer concert in Villa Bellini, and I liked how that ultra-central location was able to become a concert hub at night while offering peaceful mornings.

Beautiful Sicilian town experience.
Beautiful Sicilian town experience. Views of Mount Etna and the lowlands are great from the city. The classic churches are not to be missed. The parking situation on the street is scary and the roads need improvement. Not a place to have an SUV.
