This is a typical Japanese business hotel and I have stayed here before. Probably the best location in Shimada if you have business here.
Tried the sento (bath) this time and it is very good, better than expected!

The hotel meet all my expectations except, and this is a mayor issue, it was bit locate in Shizuoka.

This is a typical Japanese business hotel and I have stayed here before. Probably the best location in Shimada if you have business here.
Tried the sento (bath) this time and it is very good, better than expected!
Very good breakfast included. The hotel is a very short walk from the bullet train station (just across the street). There is an unusual bird zoo about a 15 minute walk away that we really enjoyed and a lovely castle you can walk to for a tour, as well as a stained-glass museum. We happened to be in town the day of a local Farmer's Market just on the other side of the train station from the hotel that was fun to visit. The hotel itself is older and the room was small for 3 people but it was fine, Everything was very clean and tidy. We really enjoyed our stay and would go there again. Check out the "American style" burger restaurant just a few blocks away!
