It is definitely a little harder to navigate around because the public transportation isn't as frquent so it is better to travel via taxi or a car.
We went to Naksan beach and stayed in the surrounding areas. We ate at alot of restaurants but as we are not seafood people we didn't eat any of the seafood.

I only visited Seoraksan National Park and stayed in Seorak village. The national park was beautiful! There were a couple of hiking trails to choose from, from easy to advanced. They provide clear signages (w/ English translation) so you will not get lost. The cable car was worth it, no need for a long hike to get amazing views. Sinheungsa Temple was also beautiful. There are a couple of restaurants to choose from. Toilets were clean enough.

If you travel to Sokcho to experience beach, well, you...
If you travel to Sokcho to experience beach, well, you should maybe think of some other location. City is boring, quite dirty and beach...I was so surprised, but full of litter and also swimming after 6pm restricted. Contrary to that, Seorak National Park is nice and worth to visit. If you can, come during the week, it is much less crowded.

Fall is a great time to visit nearby Seoraksan Park. Beautiful colors, dryer days, and cool temps for hiking. The markets in Sokcho are bustling, and there are lots of great places to eat. Easy to get around by walking, bus, or taxi
