I had the small fan room. The bed was comfortable, the room was surprisingly cool considering the outside temperature so the fan was all I needed. They had a small store as well to get beers and snacks, and free coffee and tea for guests. There is a great restaurant across the road, and only a short walk to the beach. Bicycles and scooters for rent. a bit out of the main town but easily walkable in 5 minutes or you can ride a bike.

Nice family run collection of chalets. Good restaurant on the beach. Quiet location. Owners helpful - we booked snorkelling trip and trip to the interior with them. They can also provide transport (motorbike with driver and sidecar) to transport you and your luggage to the port. Proper Tioman experience!

Tioman island is well maintain and have all the basic necessities. There are some coral reef rehabilitation and it works. A lot of big fish when snorkelling at the marine park. You can spot black reef shark and stingray at the beach. Tioman island is just so beautiful

Relaxing but the properties don't coordinate when they close...

Relaxing but the properties don't coordinate when they close, so the only way to find this out is when you arrive there for a breakfast, lunch or dinner meal. There isn't public transport along Juara beach so you need to book transport from your hotel in advance or be prepared to walk.

I went there for diving and the jungle, my family for the...

I went there for diving and the jungle, my family for the beaches and we were not disappointed ! The only problem is the travel from Kuala Lumpur - about 4 and a half hours in a car and then 2 hours in a ferry is a bit too much. Another thing you will be surprised is that on a nice tropical island there is no local fruit at all ! But that is the result of Tioman being a wildlife reserve.

It's a magical place.

It's a magical place. Juara Ocean Chalet is a wonderful family run business and their hospitality was incredible! They helped us coordinate many adventures and anything we needed was a message away. The family has deep roots over many generations in Juara Beach and their love for it shows. We are grateful that they are able it to share it and we got to enjoy it! Juara Bay Seafood was also an incredible restaurant with amazing food. We dined there several times and also enjoyed eating at the many smaller local restaurants. Overall, we had an amazing stay and would strongly recommend Juara Beach to anyone seeking an amazing beach holiday in Southeast Asia.

Short, I liked it a lot and plan to come back with family...

Short, I liked it a lot and plan to come back with family sometime. Has beaches, some hiking opportunities, good food. Snorkeling and diving must be good as well - check out reviews from others, I did not do these for weather constraints. In Genting and Paya, villagescape was nicer and better taken care of than what I've seen at Pangkor and Perhentian (not counting the posh places of course). You're taken there on a massive boat - for those not fancying waves, a clear advantage over Perhentian, though also a longer journey.

Kampung Juara is a very peaceful and serene village.

Kampung Juara is a very peaceful and serene village. The beach stretches for about 2km and is truly beautiful with its soft white sand. You can rent a motorbike to explore the village freely. The area is safe, with charming chalets scattered around. There are many places offering scuba diving license courses, and there is also a turtle conservation centre nearby. A truly fascinating and unique village experience.
