The apartment was very well appointed and comfortable. It was just about perfectly located for our last two nights in Puerto Rico and a flight out; the neighborhood even hosts a couple off airport car rental companies. There is lots of space to hang out, a decent if small kitchen and a really lonely porch wrapping around. The explanation, via video, for how to get in and how to use stuff in the unit was great.

Carolina was close to the airport, San Juan and the beaches.
Carolina was close to the airport, San Juan and the beaches. We rented a car so we were able to go El Yunque Rainforest, Culbera Island and Luquillo Beach.
I did the Old SanJuan Walking Tour which was very informative. I did the half-day hike in El Yunque Rainforest which was a lot of fun. We did a natural waterslide that drops you into a waterfall pool, a rope swing and cliff jumping. I did the Bio-luminescent kayak tour in Fajardo. I was disappointed in the pictures showed the water lit up with beautiful colors. It was hard to seeing anything. It was more a kayak trip in the dark. Flamenco Beach was beautiful. You have to take a ferry to the island which I would recommend booking a few weeks in advance online. Once the sun went down there was not much to do on Culbera Island except get dinner and catch the ferry back to the mainland.

I loved everything about my trip to Puerto Rico and the time I spent in Puerto Nuevo. What I didn’t like was traveling with my sister and you can bet my next trip back to Puerto Nuevo will be without her making my next visit 100% perfection!

San Juan is a beautiful city but inflating has soared as high as Hawaii. There are too many vendors trying to sell you stuff at overpriced. For example a pina colada from a street vendor costs 22 dollars, plus tip, plus tax (11%). Ridiculous for a place that produces pineapples.

Guaynabo is a great place to stay.
Guaynabo is a great place to stay. It is well within the metro area, and even though it's not San Juan, it is pretty close. It's not that far away from the airport, considering you stay within, you know, the city and not go up to the mountains. But it's pretty convenient. It has malls, like San Juan, pretty good restaurants, and it's pretty clean and comfortable. It's highly recommended.

San Juan exceeded all of my expectations.
San Juan exceeded all of my expectations. Even though it's a bit far away, you can already see how breathtaking the island is from the airplane. The energy, vibrant colors, and rich culture are absolutely captivating.
There is so much to see and do—live music, dancing, amazing nightlife, incredible food, beautiful beaches, and so much more. I completely fell in love with this place. Getting around by Uber is also very affordable, making it easy to explore the city without spending much.
Honestly, I don't even want to travel anywhere else anymore—I just want to keep coming back to San Juan. I already miss it so much!

Very conveniently close to the Luis Muñoz Marin (SJU) airport. Very clean rooms. Full breakfast available in the ample dining area. Close to local restaurants and shops. Staff are attentive and friendly. Because of our short (one night) stay, we weren't able to visit the pool area but it looked inviting.
