Awesome location right on the beach! Clean rooms and own parking for guests. Located close to the local airport however that was not disturbing us as all flights were during daylight time and we even managed to make few nice fotos and videos of low-flying aircrafts.

- Apartment is just glorious. Plenty of space, wonderful yard, cozy terrace, plenty of utilities - there's so much to like.
- Absolutely amazing host. Christina was very welcoming and helpful. She was there to answer our questions before we even knew we should ask them.
- Location is excellent. Very close to the main road, but sligthly tucked in so you are away from the traffic noise.
- Horny Rambo the turtle is a funny morning alarm clock. 😂

Katina is a very nice person and helped us a lot. Thanks very much for everything. The beach and the market are just across the street but the city center is 15 min drive. We were overall happy with the hotel.

The villa is simply amazing and very beautiful, nice porch, layout, looking straight at the pool. Five minute walk to the beach, and the other pool was simply amazing as well.

Our hosts Guy & Julieta were kind and wonderful! They showed us around the property and explained everything in the villa. They were super helpful in arranging taxi service and advising about the area, and both were easily accessible if we needed anything throughout our stay.

Grand Anse was covered with seaweed when we visited in May.
Grand Anse was covered with seaweed when we visited in May. So this time of year the beaches on the eastern side of the island will be a better option. Anse Georgette and Petite Kerlan ( north of Grand Anse) were free of seaweed and very beautiful - well worth a visit

We were a bit unlucky with the tide and the amount of sea weed on the beaches. Didn't look very inviting unfortunately.
The reggae bar was the best place for dinner although it was a very dark walk to get there. Required a flash.

It's a very picturesque small village.
It's a very picturesque small village. We didn't see much of it, unfortunately. It rained a lot, which kept us indoors. Curieuse Island is exceptional. It's a must-see. However, be aware: the snorkeling part is rather disappointing. If you have your own gear, bring it. The equipment provided locally was quite basic and of poor quality. Gerry, a local taxi driver, is outstanding; if you ever get the chance to explore the island with him.
You really need to choose the right time of year. The Seychelles lose some of their charm in the rain.
Moreover, the biggest challenge remains the cost of everything.

We stayed 3 nights on Praslin in a guest house right on Cote do Or beach (Rose Mary's Guest House) and rented a car so we could explore the island.
We did the following:
1. Visited Vallee de Mai - We wandered through the trails and felt like we were living in the Jurrasic Period with all of the Palms surrounding us. There are 6 different species of palms in the national park. We saw the giant Coco do Mer and several different types of lizards as well as the Tenrec.
2. Lounged on Anse Lazio Beach for the day: sunbathed, snorkeled and swam
3. Lounged on Anse Georgette Beach and watched the sun set
4. Took a tour to Curieuse Island to see the giant turtles and spend some time on Anse St. Jose. We had a BBQ lunch on the island then went snorkeling near Raffles Seychelles. We couldn't snorkel at St. Pierre Island due to the weather and winds. However, the boat drove around the island so we could see it.
We enjoyed Anse Lazio Beach more than Anse Georgette. At Anse Lazio Beach, you can snorkel around the boulders and swim between them. Swimming is dangerous at Anse Georgette and you have quite a walk to the beach as you have to get prior permission from the Constance Lemuria resort to pass through their private resort to reach the public beach. At Anse Lazio Beach, we parked at Le Chevalier Restaurant and paid 300SCR to park and rent 2 beach lounge chairs for the beach. It included a 100SCR credit to use at the restaurant/bar. We were able to order lunch and drinks from the bar on the beach and they brought the food to us. We didn't have to leave the beach to get our food.

Staff were lovely, extremely polite and attentive. Always went out of their way to ensure you were comfortable and looked after. Pools were lovely and peaceful. Beach was beautiful. Anse Georgette well worth the visit, and had a brilliant little cocktail/drinks stand. Walkable but you get very hot on the way! Otherwise can organise a buggy to take you.

The beach is picture-perfect and not very crowded, with transparent, incredibly coloured water and thin golden sand. There are many trees and also beach chairs. The food and beverage service provided by Le Chevalier Guesthouse is excellent.

Grand Anse itself does not deserve a long time, being a beach, that's it, depending of course, on what you expect to do.
Praslin itself is not very interesting compared to Mahe or even, La Digue.
Praslin is good for few days, and the most interesting is on the other side, East Coast, since Grand Anse is on the West one.

It is a good starting point to explore Praslin island.
It is a good starting point to explore Praslin island. The beach is fine and good for swimming. The buses run regularly to the other parts of the island if you want to explore. It is also the best starting point to see land turtles on Couriesse island. If you don't want to spend a fortune on food, there are some tasty take away options for 60-100 rupies.
