This hotel has an excellent location and exceeded my expectations.
It’s clean, the rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, and the shower is great.
Parking is convenient — you can either pay for valet service or walk just two minutes to a more affordable parking garage nearby. It’s also close to great restaurants and the metro.
At check-in, the staff member was super kind, attentive, and very helpful.
However, during check-out, the man at the front desk seemed to be in a bad mood and was not helpful at all. A few days earlier, I had asked him something, and his attitude was the same.
Other than that, it’s a very pleasant hotel, and I enjoyed my stay.

Great, clean and comfortable king room
Everything was just perect, soundproofing, heater, water pressure, free good internet, room service, bar, gym and store at the reception.
The service was also perfect, Chuda was beyond our expectations and helped us a lot. Great customer service.

We lived here for many years, so are fully aware of Alexandria’s many assets: shopping, history, nearness to D.C. and Mt Vernon. The Del Ray neighborhood nearby offers great restaurants (Del Ray Cafe!!!) and is not far. Location on the Potomac offers beautiful views and even boat transportation to the city in some instances.

DC is a fun, walkable city with great public transportation. Lots of museums and historical monuments to see. A great food scene, great bar and club scene and live music venues. Great place to visit in all seasons though I recommend going in the summer and fall months.

Firstly if your renting the whole house they do not have it...
Firstly if your renting the whole house they do not have it anywhere online or do they inform you one that there is a basement and two that someone is living there. I was informed by the owner after arriving and being in the shower she entered the house without informing me. I then was asked house many people were going to be in the house because it seemed like a get together because there was four of us in total one person being my uncle who is in a wheel chair who I took with me to pick up the keys because I was press for time. She then asked was anyone else coming I told her yes there is a small gathering for my company that would probably have no more than 10 people. We decided to not play the music because she said that there was a noise cut off time because of the person living in the basement. At around 12 we had a guy in a robe who was first seen with a cup in his hand sleep in his car in the driveway.. once approached he woke up and seemed drunk or under the influence I told him who we were and that I was going to call the police because he was too under the influence to explain why he was there. He later returned in a robe banging on the door threatening to call the police..

The staff are nice and they do help you with all what you need …even amazon packages they kept it safe for me..

Other than don't stay at Motto, there are numerous good places to visit. The Metro is a great way to get around. Visiting Arlington and the Changing of the Guard is a must. My fine dining go to place is Rose's Luxury. I go to the Navy Memorial and Heritage Center every year and the Navy Band Concert on the Avenue on Tuesday evenings during the summer. Both are free. The Evening Parade at the Marine Corps base (at 8th and I st.), is something to see at least once. It's free but I suggest making a reservation.

The proximity of the hotel to Alexandria was great! Alexandria has so much to offer. We visited the river front and strolled the streets. We had a great lunch at Union Street Public House. We paid $20 for all day parking which seemed outrageous at first, but we knew our car was safe in the lot and it was centrally located.

We loved that our hotel was close to all and that there were a variety of food choices for us. The Metro is great but you have to tap your CC to get in and out of the system. They charge you based on the distance you travel. We felt very safe walking around the city. Plenty of national guards standing around everywhere.

The location is everything. The Metro station is located underneath/on the corner of the hotel so we road the train all the way from the DCA airport to the Farragut West station. Then it’s walking distance from monuments, museums, amazing architecture and a delicious variety of foods (though we preferred to rent a Veo bike to get around the city).
