The staff Marie at Honu Restaurant was exceptionally her service kindness, and outgoing spirit really made our dining experience. The pool was very relaxing. Cocktails were great.

We had the best time during our stay in Kona at Pacific19. The room was great and we were upgraded to sea view because of our honeymoon. And we got some welcome gifts because of that! the rooms are very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. we had a great time and loved the free coffee in the mornings.
Also location is great, you can just walk anywhere in Kona.

Lots of great beaches, recommend the southern ones for snorkeling, like “two steps”. If you want a true black sand beach, go way south, you can drive right to it. If you want a nice trip, drive the coastal route to Hilo, the saddle road is shrter but dull.

Kailua-Kona is small town and we use it as the base for the Island exploration. The town itself feels very safe and welcoming. Easy to navigate, good quality roads. First of all the Big Island is snorkel paradise, one of the best in the world. You will definitely need a car preferably Jeppe class, so that you can travel everywhere.
