Our 4th floor unit was directly ocean front! It was very spacious, spotless, and fully equipped with everything one might need. The beds and linens were super comfortable and excellent quality. The unit had a washer-dryer and a spacious lanai. Absolutely loved our stay!

We had the best time during our stay in Kona at Pacific19. The room was great and we were upgraded to sea view because of our honeymoon. And we got some welcome gifts because of that! the rooms are very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. we had a great time and loved the free coffee in the mornings. Also location is great, you can just walk anywhere in Kona.

Great location and all the amenities of home. Loved having access to a kitchen and Mychelle was super welcoming and even did our laundry (which was much needed after a week on Oahu first). We had our own bathroom to use and parking was included. It was a great place to set up home base for our stay on the big island.

Absolutely perfect in every way: great location, very comfortable and spacious, well appointed. I only had good surprises like there is laundry, a hot tub and a very peaceful backyard space. The host even left very enjoyable gifts/treats! I was traveling solo and would definitely come back with or without my family. Thank you!

Lots of great beaches, recommend the southern ones for snorkeling, like “two steps”. If you want a true black sand beach, go way south, you can drive right to it. If you want a nice trip, drive the coastal route to Hilo, the saddle road is shrter but dull.

Kailua-Kona is small town and we use it as the base for the Island exploration. The town itself feels very safe and welcoming. Easy to navigate, good quality roads. First of all the Big Island is snorkel paradise, one of the best in the world. You will definitely need a car preferably Jeppe class, so that you can travel everywhere.

I've been to Kona many times.

I've been to Kona many times. It changes over time like anyplace does, thriving and charming to depressed and back again. It's a cute walkable town with everything you need as far as food and clothing shopping, restaurants, activities, places to take strolls, views, beaches, and tours. However, it's hard not to notice the homeless living on the street and the mentally ill people talking to themselves. There are no more free parking spaces downtown, or at most of the beaches. Most of the sidewalks could use a makeover. The town looks beat up with some buildings needing major repair. But the weather is almost always nice in Kona.

Beautiful island with many great places to explore and visit...

Beautiful island with many great places to explore and visit. Our focus was the National Park, which exceeded expectations when the volcano erupted, and we got to see it. I recommend this experience to everyone if possible! The Rangers at the park are also very kind and helpful. The shopping area in Kona was great by Breaker Beach. The kids loved all the beaches and exploring the amazing wildlife in the water. This would be a vacation you won't soon forget.

There wasn't much not to like.

There wasn't much not to like. If you're looking for luxury you might try Waikoloa or one of the other resorts. If you are looking for a nice family vacation and want a nice unit close to the town, this is more than adequate and has more of a "home" atmosphere. I would come back here if available.

The condo was beautiful, spacious, with everything you could think you might need. The kitchen was super well-equipped, and there was common cooking stuff like salt and oil for common usage - which was useful for us. The resort is very nice, although the condo is quite far from the main pool and restaurant. The location is good, but after visiting the island maybe not the best for us. Pools were clean and nice, and not overcrowded.

very conveniently located surrounded by many shops and restaurants. Also the hotel is one of the main pickup points for many tour organizers. quick access to the beach and about 15min ride to the Kona airport. Staff was nice and kind. The hotel has a beautiful hall showing various historical heritage.

No hotel like service because it's a time share resort, i.e. no breakfast and no housekeeping aside from clean towels. Other than that everything is great, the location is close to quite a few famous beaches and restaurants and to our whale watching tour.
