We spent a really good time there, the location is near different beaches, but you need to have a car to reach them fast enough. The owners are communicative and ready to give you advice on where to go and help you with anything.

We had an excellent stay! After checking out from our previous apartment, we needed to drop off our luggage early, and Beate was incredibly accommodating—she allowed us to check in ahead of time. Her warm welcome made us feel at home immediately.
She showed us around the property and even surprised us with breakfast ingredients for the next morning and a little sherry, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The apartment is beautiful, the area is safe, and we felt completely comfortable throughout our stay.
Beate also gave us great recommendations for restaurants, shops, and nearby beaches, which made exploring the area so much easier. We truly enjoyed our time here and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and welcoming stay.

Location and Transport
King Shaka International Airport is located 22 miles (35 kilometres) north of central Durban, in La Mercy. The best way to access the airport is by taxi, and you can pick one up outside Arrivals. The maximum fare you should pay for a ride into Durban is ZAR 450, or ZAR 250 to Umhlanga. Prices are for the trip and not per person.

There are several hotels within 3 miles (5 kilometres) of the airport, offering a pick-up shuttle service. King Shaka Airport has plenty to keep travellers occupied. It is out of the bussle of some of the larger towns on the coast. It is quite and very restful. The views are outstanding. The beach is great. The larger towns are close by if you are looking for shopping and resturants, but there is a wonderful resturant called Spice in Westbrook, with very accomodating staff. They have a lovely outside deck where you can see and hear the ocean.

This trip was a work trip & the Kwik Spar provided delicious, affordable daily dinners to our staff.
Although our accommodation in Bellamont Rd, was less than 2KM from village, not an easy walk & tricky, dodging little monkeys with groceries in hand therefore,
Loved using Craig's TUK TUK service, scooting around village for chores, to & from site etc.
We stayed in 3/different locations throughout our work trip & the views of the sea were spectacular from everywhere.
We love Umdloti & were highly entertained by the naughty little monkeys everywhere.

I have been visiting the place quite often and each time has a different experience. Some visits were more pleasant than others but again the units have different hosts nd hostesses and so is their professionalism when dealing with guests. I can't let 1 bad experience ruined everyone's chance of visiting the place because Sibaya has amazing units, very private and your safety is of utmost importance to them. Checkers and Checkers Liquor are just a walking distance away to some and just a door step away from other properties. It is surely a place to visit when u need that quiet time either alone, with partner or even family.

The place is beautiful. Am sorry about my earlier review I got itt all mixed up with another place I stayed in Kempton Park Joburg. The place in Verulam is well maintained and. beautiful I would recommend ito everyone who is looking for an excellent place to stay

Ensure that you have your own transport to make your stay more enjoyable. Do not depend on public transport of any sorts. They are not available from around, meaning that those from afar will cost you more than anticipated because they are private booking shuttles, not cab services.
It's a true getaway for when you don't want to be easily found/located.

I got scammed by the host of this apartment.
I got scammed by the host of this apartment. Before I got to 10th Heleza Blvd, I called the host 19 times and none of my calls were going through. I even tried calling with my other friends phone but the calls were still not going through yet all my messages were going through which meant that his phone was on. Once I got to the apartment the security guards didn't not have my booking details on their system and the security guards also tried calling him with their landline but the calls were also not going through. Ended stranded with nowhere to go, since home is far. Picture used are fake!!! SCAM ALERT!!!
