La Mercy is less than 15 minutes’ drive from King Shaka (Durban) International Airport and central to the hub of Durban and the bustling Dolphin Coast. Boasting a fully equipped kitchen, satellite TV, unlimited free Wi-Fi and comfy King sized bed, the Chalet offers the ideal stay for people visiting on business or traveling through KwaZulu-Natal via the airport. The Chalet is set elevated at the back of the property overlooking the sparkling courtyard swimming pool whichis accessible for all guests staying on the property. The secure parking right next to the suite, offering easy access. The apartment doors slide away to the open sheltered balcony with a table setting to enjoy the sea and estuary views. Open plan is the style you must feel comfortable with as even the shower is open to the apartment. Please note there are cats on the property should there be any allergy concerns and convenience stores and restaurants are about 6 kms away so a car is essential.

La Mercy is situated on the Dolphin Coast between Umhlanga and Ballito, approximately 25 kilometres north of Durban. From La Mercy it is relatively quick to get to Durban’s Shaka Marine World, the International Convention Centre and the various sport stadia. Alongside La Mercy is a beautiful sandy beach which has a shallow intertidal zone where the low tides form a myriad of rocky inshore pools. The coastal waters are rich in marine life providing endless shore fishing opportunities and great offshore ski boat and paddle ski fishing. Walking along the beach you will inevitably see dolphins and when in season whales breaching. For the more active bring your fat bikes and ride the endless beaches north to Ballito or south to Durban. The Umdloti River mouth opens to the sea when the rains come but when the mouth is closed a wide deep lagoon is formed, ideal for stand up paddle boarding, canoeing and kitesurfing. We don’t provide for activities but we can certainly point you in the right direction, so bring along all your toys as there are opportunities galore to play with them all.
