We spent a really good time there, the location is near different beaches, but you need to have a car to reach them fast enough. The owners are communicative and ready to give you advice on where to go and help you with anything.

We had an excellent stay! After checking out from our previous apartment, we needed to drop off our luggage early, and Beate was incredibly accommodating—she allowed us to check in ahead of time. Her warm welcome made us feel at home immediately. She showed us around the property and even surprised us with breakfast ingredients for the next morning and a little sherry, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The apartment is beautiful, the area is safe, and we felt completely comfortable throughout our stay. Beate also gave us great recommendations for restaurants, shops, and nearby beaches, which made exploring the area so much easier. We truly enjoyed our time here and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and welcoming stay.

My stay at La-Peng was absolutely amazing. The place was everything I wanted and more. The views of the ocean ,unmatched. I also enjoyed so much privacy with the upper deck reserved for me 😊. The hosts were so respectful,warm,kind,and always made time for chats over breakfast. Oh,the breakfast was so good. Well thought out and prepared daily. My room was clean,well kept, well serviced during the short stay and the amenities were sufficient ☺️☺️ The malls,Durban and airport are also easily accessible from here. I will definitely be staying again whenever I visit Durban. Thank you Dorothy and husband for a pleasant time at your lovely home💕💕.

👍 What people love Beautiful, uncrowded beach with stunning ocean views. Peaceful atmosphere compared to Durban's busier beaches. Excellent location close to the airport. Great for long walks, fishing, photography and relaxing. Convenient access to both Umhlanga and Ballito within a short drive. Many beachfront apartments receive very positive reviews for cleanliness, comfort and sea views.

Ensure that you have your own transport to make your stay more enjoyable. Do not depend on public transport of any sorts. They are not available from around, meaning that those from afar will cost you more than anticipated because they are private booking shuttles, not cab services. It's a true getaway for when you don't want to be easily found/located.

I liked it, it is value for money.

I liked it, it is value for money. The food is great, I didn't get around La Mercy, most of the time we were driving to other places, 15 - 25 Km away. But it is close to the airport and close to the shopping mall.

During my recent stay at this impeccably maintained...

During my recent stay at this impeccably maintained beachfront property, I was thoroughly enchanted by the flawless views and prime location. The natural beauty of the surroundings was accentuated by the meticulous attention to detail, leaving no room for any concerns. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by a property that exuded freshness and vibrancy, having undergone a recent makeover with a fresh coat of paint. Any traces of mold were completely eradicated, and the bathroom window blinds were replaced, adding to the overall pristine atmosphere. The 22" TV was upgraded to a more spacious model, perfect for the comfort of my family of five. The sleeper couches were also replaced, ensuring a comfortable and inviting space to unwind. The balcony, which quickly became our favorite spot, offered a delightful retreat, complemented by the excellent weather. And to top it off, the addition of a braai stand provided the perfect setting for enjoyable outdoor activities. A standout feature that significantly enhanced our culinary experience was the use of state-of-the-art modern cast iron non-stick pots in the kitchen—a sophisticated touch that added a touch of luxury to our stay. This property now stands as a testament to the owner's commitment to excellence. Any potential concerns have been thoroughly addressed, with free WIFI seamlessly integrated to ensure a convenient and connected stay. The views remain as breathtaking as ever, and the overall ambiance is nothing short of exceptional. I wholeheartedly commend the owner for valuing guest feedback, resulting in a place that has truly become exceptional. Here's to a more polished and inviting experience that future guests are sure to revel in!

Beautiful unit but bedding wet, towels wet. No hand towels, Security gate can only be opened by hulk. Lamps not working or two pin plug lamps with no adapters. Main bath leaks. Middle bath plug broken and basin plug broken and gone. Mouldy chips in couch. No hand towels. Glasses broken, no lids for pans. Stunning view. Pool only in the shade. Beach umbrellas broken. only place for 4 people to sit in the lounge even though its a 6 sleeper. Nice cheap bottle store next door. Very dirty under main bed. Security guard begs for food and hounds you on arrival and departure, telling you all about their life and their struggles, making you feel obliged to provide food for her. Doesn't give you privacy to check in or check out.

There's no public transport or easy access to Ubers , i would suggest this place to people who are driving or rented cars, There's an amazing view of the ocean but a good drive to access, Absolutely no network so book a place with Fibre or Wifi. Steep hills all the way .

We self catered during our stay at La Mercy however, Alex and his wife did provide eggs, some bread and milk as a complimentary breakfast. The view of the beach from the property was amazing and the entire place was spotless. The two doggies were also wonderful to have around as they are extremely friendly and well mannered.

The location was great as we had a sea facing room. The staff were friendly and pleasant. The food at the hotel was amazing especially the Bunny chows. The rooms were comfortable but no modern. We loved our stay as it was peaceful and quiet, most importantly very close to all the available attractions.
