Hotel Haus Christel was a comfortable and convenient place to stay during the ski jumping World Cup, when accommodation was at a premium. The staff were helpful despite the language barrier (their English was basic and my German almost non-existent), and I was happy with what I got for a modest cost relative to what else was available.

The location was excellent, due to the accommodation being right outside of Winterberg, we were able to avoid most of the extremely crowded roads when driving to the pistes. Temperature regulation was excellent, the jacuzzi was phenomenal, a great shower, a great sauna. We could not have gotten a better accommodation in the area at our time of booking.
