Apartments in Ronco sopra Ascona

Best of both worlds: large apartments, hotel service, large beautiful garden, nice swimming pool. A very cozy place , very little people around, very friendly staff. Walking distance from Ascona. We were in a rush while leaving and forgot few things at the hotel.. and they sent those back to our home address without any fees.

We loved the place and already looking for another vacation in that same apartment. I really enjoyed the sunny mornings/breakfast with an amazing view of the lake and mountains. The easy lake access makes it even better. I will probably bring SUP next time to enjoy the lake even more and to take a few tours around the Brissago Islands. Btw, the restaurant was exceptionally good.

The location was a lovely place to rest and reset on travels. The views and access for swimming made this ideal.

A beautiful spacious family apartment with all amenities needed. We stayed only for one night but the trip stayed with us, especially because of the apartment and its location. The people were also wonderful and very welcoming.

Lovely with flat with amazing heating and pool. Very comfortable in cold weather! The host, Eliana, was amazing, too.

Gorgeous, clean, and comfortable apartment away from the city center. If you don’t mind walking up stairs, this is the perfect place for a family stay! Great restaurants nearby too. Host very helpful.

The view from the Apartment is serene. Just enjoy the view from the Balcony, Living Room or the Kitchen.

Easy check/in, very clear instructions to arrive to the place. The place is nicely decorated, and has everything you need for either a short or longer stay. The view to the lake is great, and overall the location is very convenient with stores and restaurants close by.

I read the other reviews and was wondering what they meant by good location. Realised that its good location (or at least to me) meant that it was really accessible from the highway exit and other parts of CH (especially if you are coming from the romandie side via Domodossola), and also easy to access some of the more iconic Ticino attractions (Valle Maggia, Verzasca etc) and the lovely Italian towns nearby. You do have to drive up a steep road to get there, but it's common in TI if you are not staying by the lake and honestly, compared to my last accommodation in Ticino, this one was really easy to drive up to. The place is quaint and while though small and cosy, it has everything one needs for a stay. It is well-maintained and clean. Also, this has probably one of the most welcoming and warm hosts I've ever encountered. Nicola provided very detailed and helpful check-in instructions... there was nothing of the usual confusion and deciphering of vague instructions. You can tell Nicola puts a lot of pride into providing a comfortable experience for his guests.
