Amazing place! The cabin is fully equiped, very cozy and spot on clean. The host was very precise on the instructions to get there and we used the amenities for laundry (no dryer though). The view to the loch makes it even more perfect, and we were lucky to have a nice weather during our stay. The silence, if that's what you look for, is impressive.

Great location. The property had everything to make you feel like you were pampered at home. The host was extremely thoughtful and had some great bread, fruit, yogurt, juice and ham. Everything was clean modern and new. Thanks for a great time on Skye.

An excellent place to stay. To note that Portree has limited restaurants and it usually requires a reservation in advance. However no need to worry being hungry as the host has prepared lots of food, far more than what we need for breakfast.

For my mom's milestone birthday, we took a roadtrip around the Highlands. Skye was our days 6 and 7 stop and I thought my mom might want a day to relax a bit after so much travel, so I was looking for lodging that would feel more homey and provide a bit of a respite. Red Cuillin View Apartment did just that! This apartment was easily the nicest place we stayed our entire trip. It's beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and has clearly been updated semi-recently as everything felt very new. The location could not be more convenient as you're in walking distance to numerous restaurants + a CoOp, making cooking yourself an option. The addition of a washer is a nice bonus for anyone who's on day 7 of their trip (like we were). Perhaps the best part of the entire apartment is the view of Red Cuillin. It's breathtaking and the skylights flood the apartment with loads of natural light. My mom raved over how much she enjoyed reading her book while appreciating the view. Alison was very responsive to any questions I had and even left a few treats for us - cereal, milk, champagne - which was such a nice surprise. I will absolutely stay again my next visit to Skye!
