The location of this guesthouse is perfect. It was just a 5-minute walk along the road into town. The room was beautifully decorated and so spacious with floor-to-ceiling windows that offered panoramic views of Ella Rock and the surrounding countryside. The host was so warm and friendly and was only a message away if we needed assistance. Our breakfast was delivered to our balcony every morning. It was incredible! It changes slightly each day with hoppers being part of it one morning! It was so serene and relaxing. When I come back to Ella I will stay here again! Thank you for your hospitality Thivagar!

I had an amazing stay at Ella Sunrise View. The location is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the mountains and valleys right from the balcony. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and the staff were so friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home. The sunrise view in the morning was just magical it’s definitely worth waking up early for!

I love nature and the view from my window was beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Ella Hillcrest, thanks to the friendly and respectful staff who catered to my every need. A highlight of my stay was the opportunity to prepare a traditional and authentic Sri Lankan meal, which was a fantastic experience.

The location is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful mountain views, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy Ella’s natural beauty. The family room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Waking up to the fresh air and greenery was a highlight of our trip. What really made the experience special was the hospitality. The hosts were extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful from the moment we arrived. They made us feel at home and were always ready to assist with anything we needed, including local tips and travel guidance.

We recieve the excellent value for money and the delicious breakfasts. We spent two nights in this cottage. There is a beautiful breathtaking mountain view. This has truly being a remarkable experience that we will cherish.👌😎😌

We booked this half an hour before we arrived and the host was amazing in accomodating us at short notice. The cottage is very basic but the position and view is incredible. They were extremely friendly and did us a lovely breakfast. We were much happier here than being in the centre of Ella, but it's still an easy tuk tuk ride in and back after fun in the town.

Quiet serenity away from the hustle and traffic of Ella, but within walking distance. Very easy to walk down to the village for lunch or dinner. Host always available for tuk tuk ride back up the steep road. The scenery and vistas across the valley, unmatched. Sitting on our deck listening to the bird song, watching the mischievous monkeys, reading a book in the soft breeze, just what I needed to recharge my soul in this glorious Sri Lanka gift. Thank you Sumith and Nadee for being the perfect hosts. You will never be forgotten.

Secret Mountain Paradise was a hidden gem. Challenging to get to but so immensely peaceful and serene. You get a beautiful view of the Bandarawela temple from the bed and the astronomical night sky full of stars. Chami is the most helpful, kind, caring, accommodating and considerate host ever. At any time of the day (4:30 am for a safari trip or 10 pm from the town), he would organise pickups/ drop offs to accommodate your schedule and needs. He would plan all tours and trips without any hassles and is fully reliable. Hot water is readily available at all times, and the fan was often more than adequate in the cool mountainous air. I would highly recommend if you would like to stay away from the hustle and bustle of main town and a little pocket of peaceful abode to just breathe and be. Thank you so much, Chami!
