Beach Hotels in Watamu

Amazing place. It feels like a magic garden: full of beautiful trees and flowers. There’s a swimming pool right above the ocean. Everything is really clean, the room is really nice, breakfast is good, we just had one dinner and it was good (but if you want to try swahili fish dishes go in the center of Watamu, where the T junction is: it’s great!). We really enjoyed our stay, the whole staff is great and helpful at any time. The wifi wasn’t working in our room (probably one of the farthest from the reception), but in the common areas and garden it works perfectly. You can easily find a tuk tuk or a motorcycle at the gate ready to pick you up. Thank you, We’ll be back for sure, hopefully soon.

The place was perfectly located. It was such a nice place to relax with a nice pool and garden. The staff was very friendly and the rooms was cleaned every day! Breakfast was also really nice every morning. So really nothing to complain about.

The Place was Amazing with a warm welcoming smile from the staff's. Kennedy Jr🔝at the reception was So nice and displayed his professional skills ,the buffet at the restaurant was nice with even an inclusion of the african food on tuesday. Wonderful stay I had I met all my expectations ❤️

This stay surpassed my expectations, ended up staying double the time I intended. The host is wonderful and so accomodating. Ridiculous value for money, great place to relax by the pool, also there are bodas passing all the time to take you to town when need be. Bonus points for the kindest dog you can imagine!

The meals, cleanliness and the customer service was top notch

Staff was very helpful and food was amazing (especially sea food and grill). Location is great. Good thing is that they served a variety of food items and yet zero wastage. All staff members were so good - reception, animators, grill chef (one of the best squids I had), pasta chef, bartenders, aqua gym, helpers, hotel manager… everyone.

The breakfast was simple yet so tasty! The staff were amazing and the facility was super clean.

I had an amazing stay at Avana Resort Watamu! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home right away. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated with an African-inspired style.

The little shop, the restaurant vibes, the option to be a la carte, the grounds in the trees is so fun and its proximity to lichthaus

Loved the yoga and food and massage. I did several activities and it's a great place. Went swimming and was really looked after. I loved it even though I was out of my comfort zone with no windows.

This hotel was wonderful. The pools were always clean and the infinity pool at the end was beautiful. The staff & service were exceptional. They were accomodating and were very friendly. They decorated our suite with beautiful flowers for a birthday that was being celebrated. It was such a lovely surprise and there was a lot of effort put into it. The breakfast was always good with many options to choose from at the buffet. You could also order off the menu at any time.

The A/C was effective, the food was really delicious, your staff were friendly and helpful - everything was really great, we would have not problems at all recommending this quaint place to people looking for a home away from home - everything worked!

The tent had a fan and brilliant WiFi! It was cleaned every day! I loved it.

Breakfast was spot on. Location was pretty decent. A little far removed from restaurants/shopping and such, but that is kinda what I wanted so was very good for my needs. I answered no regarding the question above "Did the price I paid match the expectations I had when I booked". I answered no because the facility far exceeded my expectation. I felt it was a very good value.

Great staff, beautiful environment.

From the moment I arrived, Beba upgraded my room which was grest as the ocean view was fabulous. The room is spotless clean. Very elegantly decorated. Staff were very helpful. The villa is gorgeous. A few meters away from the beach. The private beach made my stay fantastic and ensured privacy. The pool was just the right spot to disconnect from the world. Breakfast was delicious and portions were huge. India and Gold ( the dogs 🐕) were definitely a huge plus. I loved their presence and played with them. The entire experience was very unique, authentic and relaxing 😌 I highly recommend it 👌 as a solo traveler, this felt do safe. Thank you Beba for taking care of things and understanding.

Charming is an apt name for this beautiful hidden away gem. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, really working hard to ensure our stay was a dream romantic romp. They even prepared a tailored vegan alternative menu that was an unexpected touch of care. We're truly grateful to Silvia and her team.

Loved the private beach and garden area

The venue is very lovely and quaint. Feels very cozy and homely with artistic decor. Offers great privacy while still giving professional standards. The customer service was exceptional; the staff especially Simon went over and above in making our stay special and addressing our particular and exceptional requests. The chef and Saidi also did a great job accommodating one of our party who was vegan. Every interaction was met with warmth and kindness; this made us want to extend our stay. We definitely will be returning. Also liked Bear, the dog :-)

Harrison is a great host. I learned a lot about local traditions and really enjoyed staying up in the tree house (cool setup and comfortable bed)! The camp is well located with the creek on one side and the swamp/forest on the other (where you might get to see elephants if you have enough time). Food was delicious and with very generous portions.
